I bred this mare and sold her as a weanling and just bought her back as a 3 year old. She is an Oldenburg. Any idea who to breed her to? I only breed hunters. http://www.imagestation.com/album/pictures...l?id=2092516674

Hmmm, tough one. I can't think of anyone who will add height that has everything else you'd look for. Westporte is the only one that comes to mind, but I am a huge Westporte fan.

Don't sell yourself short Risingstar... your horses are all excellent jumpers and look like they'd be right at home in the hunter ring. Speaking of which... how's Ferrari? <3
Jill... not a bad idea....check it out... :)

She sure has matured nicely Jill. Very pretty.
She has such a great jump. Maybe your new stallion? Sir Caletto should add height. Rio Grande? Not sure if you would get a pretty head.
Black Tie looks like he is stamping his foals. How tall is he?
Good luck with her.

Lovely mare! The Allen's from Allen Stock Farm just recently moved back to California, and have a couple of very nice hunter TBs standing. http://www.oditech.com/~allenstockfarm/ I have a son of their TB stallion Apollo's Fire who I use on my own mares. His foals sell to the areas best hunter trainer every year. Good looking foals with wonderful lines, great dispositions and lovely movement.

Well - I'll put my hat in the ring for Guaranteed Gold ... so far he is adding a lot of height to pretty well all of his foals, even those out of genetically small mares like Morgans and Arabians (14.3-15hh) that have nothing but small genes to pull from for generations. Those foal are ending up in the 15.2-16hh range ...

He is a 16.1hh cremello TB stallion, so you would get the 100% guarantee of a palomino foal if that is of interest to you at all, and his foals are doing very well in breed shows on the line, as well as in Hunter Breeding and Line shows in the USA and Canada.

He puts terrific movement on them, beautiful heads and a very substantial build out of straight TB mares and refines the coarser WB mares as well ...

Here is a coming 3 year old straight TB daughter of his - Faux Finish - who is out of a 16.1hh TB mare and she is 16.1hh herself now, and will not be 3 until the beginning of June ... and we anticipate she should mature to the 16.2-16.3hh range. Her full brother appears that he will be taller than she is and I wouldnt be surprised at all if he tops out at over 17hh when he has done growing ...

First and foremost, your filly is lovely. I have a soft spot for chestnut fillies. I also have a soft spot for "A Fine Romance" but because someone mentioned Rio Grande, I wanted to comment on the "pretty head comment." My sweet Quinn looks like a boy. :one: :one: A great big burly boy!!! However, my Rio filly from last year is by far the "prettiest" baby I have ever had. She's just a beauty. :cheer:
