duh, just found said link... Sadly, they don't come in a 2-way stretch, so I will have to decline my clearance purchase.

(I used to have dates that turned out this way.) :bigwhoop:

This does NOT qualify under the topic ban of "what color hunt coat goes with my cremello pony." Fortunately for you, Rachel, I won't have to ask Aunt Esther if I can borrow her purse so I can smack you with it.

Now, on the subject of the Ariats, I, too, have seen them "up close and personal," as Howard Cosell would say. Um...

STEP AWAY FROM THE PAISLEY BRITCHES!

"And that's all I'm going to say about that," in the words of Forrest Gump.

Erm, I bought a pair because the tack shop was dim and I didn't see the paisley until the next day when I was in the truck on the way to the barn -- wearing them.

You can barely see the tone on tone. Really. From a distance they just look like the regular Pro Circuits... really. :innocent:

I'd buy them for fun. But I think I'm too much of a wuss to wear them at a show. Maybe a jumper class but not hunter. I have a brown CO helmet and sometimes wear pikeurs instead of puke green TS's, so while I like to think I'm a naughty rebel, I'm not quite daring enough for a big ol' paisley-butt.

OK, how sad is this -
I....actually..............like them.

But then again, I AM a member of the half century club and have NEVER been commended for my fashion savvy.
HOWEVER - I would NEVER pay that much money for a pair of breeches - even if they had deer skin leather full seats.

ok, I am just eccentric ok? :psycho: :bigwhoop: :nyah: :o

I think I like them. To me they maintain the look, but allow a little spice in the pretty classic, sometimes rigid, sport we enjoy.

I mean, really, in the 80's would we have EVER thought bell bottoms would ever come back? And now, would anyone go out with 'mall' bangs (or a mullet :one: )big shoulder pads and their jeans waist at their ribcage? The real world fashion is all over the place, and the horseshow world is barely stepping out of the 'box' with breeches with a not so visible texture in the fabric.

I know there is some wild stuff in the catalogs, but not much has changed in the show ring really. The classic look is still just that. IMHO, these breeches have just a bit of flavor and/or personality. Oh, and price! Yikes! Anyway, just a long way of saying, I'd wear 'em!

I've rawked my brown helmet three shows in a row now...I find it very liberating. I'm not sure if I can pull off paisley pants and a brown helmet. I do, however, really want some brown or cordovan field boots, if anyone is unloading tall, slim size 8's.

I think they would be nice for schooling...if perhaps in a more practical (dirt/slobber proof) color.

You know, I'm all about advancing horse fashion, but I don't think I can get down with these - they seem a little cowgirl. I have to see them in person!

Edited to add: I am 100% down with brown helmets, though. Which one did you get, Rachel?
