the new ariat breeches that have tone on tone paisley print?

http://www.equestriancollections.com/itemm...oupcode=AT00193

I saw one up close and you really couldn't see the paisley pattern unless you were RIGHT on top of them--much more subtle than this picture.

Is anyone brave enough to wear these in the show ring? Or would you even want to? I'm kinda curious. This is definitely "cutting edge" in the "most likely to offend George Morris" department.

(OK, and I really do care what the moderators think, but I'm hoping this isn't one of the verboten topics)....

Those are kind of intriguing. If the patern is more subtle like you said, rather than all out there like the picture is, I think they'd be fun for schooling. I don't know if I'd be brave enough to show in them but I'd school in them at home or at shows. But then again, I'm hardly brave enough for rust and that's way less scandalous than paisley...

I literally had a pair in my hands and didn't notice until i did a double take--so yeah, pretty subtle. I don't think there is ANY way a judge could see the pattern from a distance of 4 feet or more.

If they are still the beige/green color, I would wear them in a heartbeat.

I think your trainer would forbid it. ;)

This does NOT qualify under the topic ban of "what color hunt coat goes with my cremello pony." Fortunately for you, Rachel, I won't have to ask Aunt Esther if I can borrow her purse so I can smack you with it.

Now, on the subject of the Ariats, I, too, have seen them "up close and personal," as Howard Cosell would say. Um...

STEP AWAY FROM THE PAISLEY BRITCHES!

"And that's all I'm going to say about that," in the words of Forrest Gump.

The irony is that I loff paisley in my daily non-horsey life, but...

No. Just... no.

I wouldn't be brave enough to wear them in the show ring. But I saw them when they first came out in the Ariat booth at a trade show, and they are very subtle, I never even noticed till my friend pointed it out.

Kiddo is dying for a pair of pale pink or lavender schooling breeches. "Boss Lady" forbid their wearing even at home... something about "wear them and there'll be hours of no stirrups" kind of changed her mind. Guessing paisley wouldn't pass the mustard either.

I want rust. I need Rust. I must have rust full leather seat britches. Why is it too much to ask?

Paisley - ummm, well, no thank you. My toosh looks huge enough w/o a PATTERN on it that sez hello world.

BTW, does this saddle make my toosh look big? (NO dear, your big toosh makes your toosh look big.) <_<

Trainer - Shmainer! (Tom would let me wear them.) When NOONE buys them, and I can get them on clearance somewhere REALLY cheap, I will buy some, and wear them!!!! (by the way, can someone post a link so I can see what the hell I'm getting myself into?) Honestly, my mare and I go so fast, I doubt anyone will see anything other than a faint, paisley blur. Plus, c'mon guys, aren't you sick to death of wearing the same boring stuff week after week? (pastel colors will still never be an option.)
