and I don't remember where I bought it. I REALLY like it, and would like to get a couple more in different sizes.

its a D-ring french link, with the bars bent a little more than a normal snaffle. but not nearly as much as a Mylar. The peanut in the centre is large, but not overly large. I have it in a 5 1/2", and now I would like to find one in a 5", and maybe also a size or two smaller.

I'll try and get a decent pic of it later today.

well, no wonder Google wasn't googling! I spelled it wrong, its CARLYLE.

there is a reference to it in Stateline tack, but from there, there are no more references in their catalogue. so I've e-mailed them.

the camera batteries are charging.

About 1/2 way down and another down almost to the very bottom. First one has a copper piece in the middle, the other is all stainless. I think they're the same as the one you posted.

Irish, is that true? I'll have to look into it. I check out bits at every tack shop I pass by, and haven't yet come across that particular bit.

The one I have is a 5 1/2", and I would REALLY like to use one for Steve, but he takes a 5".

He goes well in it, but then, he goes along nicely in just about everything.

State Line Tack carries Carlyle. I can't imagine it's the new brand name for Korsteel...if so...way to go Carlyle. I always think of Carlyle as very low end and Korsteel upper middle of the road.

You seem to be right.
I do know now that it IS a Brand name, but not Korsteel.
A Brand, not a "Type" of bit...
