Oooh, Lion, they're so pretty! They just look so soft and pretty and I kind of want to touch them.

And yes, I still kind of feel guilty about riding in my chaps. The first thing I do when I get home is wipe them down to get all the dirt off of them so they'll stay pretty and clean forever. it's kind of like a new car...you know there are gonna be dings and scratches eventualy but it still hurts to think about it.

JTM....I got my half chaps from Journeyman and I think they were around $250. The base price is $200 and then trim, piping, fringe, etc is extra. I got trim and one piping color, no fringe or monogram.

AC & Ty-

They were $440. They are so worth the price. My Tredsteps (which I thought fit great, now I realize are loose and short) just don't even compare. I can't wear full chaps due to the pressure on my knees and no adjusting could make them comfortable.

Ha - you can't have them jumpthemoon. I've waited FAR too long! Thanks for the compliments everyone.

When I was measured for my full chaps he did ask if I have any knee problems and how tight or loose I wanted them. I do have tendonitis in my left knee, but with working out at the gym it's getting better. Hopefully these chaps won't bother them.

I used to ride exclusively in full chaps. Even in the summer time. I would wear shorts, wrap my legs in ace bandages, put on the full chaps and be good to go. Hey, I never said it was a pretty sight! Then I started wearing just jeans and full chaps as I got older. This past summer, Veronica bought me a pair of half chaps, so I started wearing those most often. I still had m original full chaps from when I was 16. It was time for them to go away quietly into the night. :P

Now that I've finally splurged on these, you can bet I will be back to jeans and full chaps. Someday, there might even be a pair of custom half chaps in my future, who knows?

I have a total crush on your chaps. I can't remember the last time I actually rode in my pretty semi-custom full chaps, but I think fancypants half chaps are in my future. <3

When they came in, I told my DH they smelled so good that they were like an aphrodesiac. I'm sure he's having me committed any time now. :teehee:
