Minty--I got your email about Shannon Muldoon and asking if I wanted to get booked when you got booked. I wrote back and said yes, but I haven't gotten anything since. Did you send me the braider's info or didn't you get my email? If not, yes, yes, yes!!! I would like her to braid for me and wondered what time she would need us to arrive at the show to be braided. Let me know where the connection got lost and if I need to call the braider myself. Thanks, Minty!

I will try to talk to the DH about the Four Seasons one, but since it is a week day, I wouldn't count on it. We are planning for the 14th at Our Farm for Hope(2 year old). Then the 21 at Our Farm for Joy(the yearling), and then the Mileview one for Hope, so far. I don't think I'm going to be brave enough to take both together to the same show until St. Chris'.

So I posted this on another thread and didn't get a response. Does anybody, (Silver Bells maybe?)know if you get any kind of confirmation from the Devon Horse Show that you are entered? I sent my entries Express Mail specifically so they would have to sign for them and then the Post Office decided they didn't have to sign after all and so I have no proof that they got my entries. I am a nervous type, if that hasn't become obvious already, and want to be sure I'm not going to show up to Devon only to find I'm not really entered. :jaw:

Ack! Yep, I didn't get the e-mail you sent. I haven't heard back yet though so it's no problem. Next time I talk with her I'll let her know there are two of us and send you the time to be there.

No clue on the Devon thing though :(. I sent mine certified and got back the little card with a signature.

Edited: Found your e-mail. I hadn't thought to check the spam filter, but there it was. I'll fix it so any others will come through okay.

You will receive a confirmation letter from Devon. It probably will come to you at the end of April, though they are getting a little bit faster with the replies as long as the USEF has the points caught up. All the letters are sent out at the same time from Ryegate and that will not be until the qualifying points are all complete. The leter will go to the addresss you checked on the front of your entry blank.

Thanks Ponybreeder. I think it asked for an email on the front of the entry, so they send the confirmation via email?

Minty--Thanks about the braider.(Why do I always end up in people's SPAM folder? ) And Urrrgh about the entry thing. I guess I should have sent certified too. I wanted to be sure it got there in time and Express is supposed to require a signature. I even asked the PO employee who took the letter if it would require a signature and she said yes. I guess some lazy mailman on the other end just took it upon himself to decide it didn't need a signature. :brickwall:

So now I will fret until the end of April or whenever I get the confirmation, wondering if my entries got in. Double urrgggghh!! :brickwall:

HOG, If you just enetred breeding classes, you are an automatic entry. It is only in the performance classes that points count. The confirmations just all go out at the same time. When you do receive your confirmation, you must send a copy back to confirm that you are showing. You also need to bring a copy with you. They will not let your entry show without a copy of the coggins and a copy of your USEF membership card.

Thanks ponybreeder. I sent a copy of my Coggins and my USEF card with the entry. I should also bring it to the show then as well? As for being entered, I am just stressing that since I don't have any signature proof, somehow they just didn't get my entry. I'm being a nervous nellie, I know. But it would be typical of my luck that my entry would get lost in the mail. :shoot:

It IS a good idea to send them with some sort of confirmation, but I am sure your entry will be fine. I always take the originals of everything, just in case. It can't hurt to have it in the tack trunk. Are you just going for the horses? I am thinking of driving back down there to see the horse breeding classes and meet a bunch of TOC people.

I thought I was getting signature proof. I didn't know the mailman could just choose not to collect the signature. :mallet: Yeah, I will only be there for the horse breeding. I hope you do come back down. I would love to meet you.

That would be great PB. I am hoping to go to Devon for the horses. There will be (at least) two A Fine Romance babies showing, so I am looking forward to seeing them show, and of course meeting up with some friends! ;) ;) :woot:

What was the turnout like for the Our Farm show? large classes?

You don't have to get a signature that the entry was received. Just that it was postmarked by the 2nd. The P.O. will do that for you for a small fee (they have you fill out a form with Devon address, then they stamp that the mail going to that address was indeed postmarked on time). If you can show this to Devon, should your entries not get there, that is all you need to do. Once the P.O. has them, it is out of your hands...

We will be there for both ponies and horses, and Junior is showing one of Fred's kids. You better make it, Gail!!!! LOL!!!

Thanks lauriep!!!--I'll do that then. I still have my receipt from the letter so I assume the PO will take that as proof that they can give me the postmark thingy.

I am thrilled that Junior is going to be showing one of the Fred babies!!
and I am really looking forward to meeting you all.

The only problem of course, is that it is breeding season, and I have a very busy stallion. I am hoping all the mares cooperate, and don't need to be bred for a couple of days, and that I can get away. :luck:

Gail, you better be at Devon! I have entered 1 pony ( Escamade, owned by Cindi and I ) 3 yearlings ( Blonde Ambition, if not sold, Gold Tycoon, and Daytona Beach) One 3 year old ( Zarrbuck) and More About Me in the local hunters division if he's not sold. And maybe 1 more suprise if all goes well! :shoot:

Roy Evans is going to be a VERY busy handler this year. Between my horses, Cindi's, Bridget's , and Sharon's... we have something in almost every division.
I just need a Westporte and an AFR youngster!
