I have been contemplating buying it too- so I'll be interested in what everyone has to say about it.

I have it and love it! There are a lot of good exercises in there and it is helpful for me since I do most of my work at home on my own. I could walk out a line at a show, but this helped me figure out striding for different exercises and "create" a course or type of line that I wanted. I totally recommend it!

I have it, but always forget to use it. :teehee:

It is really interesting though, with a lot of neat ideas in it, I have to dig it out and start using it.

It's GREAT. of course, you may want to keep "certain pages" out of the hands of your trainer. :o :point:

Yes - I made the mistake of showing it to my trainer, and now she's got a copy of her own!

The exercises _look_ really simple, but are really fiendish (and very useful) to ride. Everyone who rides over fences should have a copy.

It's a great book! I have one, and whip it out occasionally to bring something new into my lesson program for my intermediate students. Absoloutely worth the $45 or whatever it is!

I was on my own for about two or three months last fall and this book was the reason Tip and I were able to progress. It gave us lots of good exercises, especially in the gymnastics department. Finding out how to set the stridings was a bit difficult for some of the exercises, but we muddled through; thankfully Tip is very athletic and adjustable so that if we came to trouble he could get us out of it. (One memorable occasion: three strides away I looked down the gymnastic and thought, "SHOOT! This is NOT going to work as a bounce to a two." Bless my pony's heart, he was able to jump out of the bounce with more power than he came in with and made the one without trouble. I promptly got off and shortened the in-and-out by about three feet.)

I think this is a really great book and worth every cent.

Another vote for the book! Great exercises for all levels of riders, and, as others have said, a great resource if you're doing a lot of work on your own.

It's a great book with so many different ideas to help with specific problems. A lot of the exercises are really fun and deceptively difficult.

It's a great book...the only problem we've had with it is actually setting the things up. Our arena always has a course set, so there is little room for the exercises unless you move the course around, which is a pain.

The indoor arena has a few jump pieces, but they have to be put away after your ride. That gets old real quick.

So, the book is great...but I'm too lazy to use it often. :teehee:

I have the book and love it.... unfortunately when I bought it I was unable to use it as the indoor arena was waaaaay too small and outside there was a course set up and we couldn't move the jumps. Now I'm at a barn where the arena is huge but it would take years to set up the exercises because of the size of the arena (the jumps have to be put away after then are used) :teehee: Maybe I can start using it once we start riding outside (darn field is waterlogged).
