How much would you pay for an older 17" Pessoa?; Also, does it fit my horse?

I have an older model Pessoa out on trial from my local tack store. I really like the saddle, and it fits my horse quite well. I took lots of pictures, so maybe you guys can help me out some.

The owner of the saddle wants $600, but I find that excessively $$$$$. I told the owner of the tack store to offer them $400 and see what they say. How much would you expect to pay for this saddle?

It's a Pessoa, 17" or 17.5" spring tree, suede knee rolls. In pretty good shape, and looks like the billets have been replaced somewhat recently.

Thanks so much.

Since it is the version with the suede knee rolls, I would probably say around $500, it is still a Pessoa in great condition. But hey you might as well offer them $400 and if they take it, that is a awesome deal for you. Pessoa's usually hold their value pretty well since they are a well known name. I love mine, so comfortable, but I think that saddle looks awesome for the price! Good Luck!

Oi.. I think it looks beat to sh!t myself! Plus such an old style shouldn't be much in demand, so that should factor into it's price as well.
I wouldn't want to pay over $300 US for it, but I suppose it's what you have available in your area that will determine it's price. I just bought a used Stubben I didn't figure was worth $600, but paid $800 (CAN) because it was there, it was available, it fit. I did offer $600 but they would only take 800.. I was screwed, but what can you do; any saddle that fits well and you are happy with is unfortunatley 'worth it' ;)
