I have a very old childs Stubben Rex. All 3 of my daughters learned to ride in it and it was well used before I bought it. I didn't plan on ever selling it...I have a younger niece that might use it one day. Anyway, I loaned it to a renter on our farm for her young daughter and she has asked to buy it. I am considering it. My question is how much? It probably really isn't worth much except that it would be hard to replace it if I needed to. It is serviceable and I had it repaired and the billets replaced a few years ago. My daughters rode in it at local shows for leadline and pre short stirrup. Anyone have a ballpark figure? I don't even remember how much I paid for it. |

Wow, I looked all over for a 14" Rex for my daughter and never found one. I had to make due with a Collegiate (which was not at all the same). Mothers that know better covet the Rex as it really holds the little riders in place. You're lucky to have one and it certainly won't lose value if you save it for your niece. I wouldn't take less than $500 but depending on the condition probably more. |

Really? Wow. I knew it was a good saddle and that was one reason I wasn't trying to sell it. My youngest daughter has now moved into a flatter saddle. I also knew they were hard to find but this one is in good serviceable condition but just isn't pretty to look at at all. Hmmm. I might have to reconsider selling it. I doubt this lady wants to pay $500 for anything. Thanks

At the resale place I buy from you can buy an old Rex in decent shape for $250-$450. |
