Yak (Mandate) will be starting out in Level 3 Jumpers and moving up to Level 4 at least by the third week. Last night He almost jumped me off over a 4'6" oxer on the out of a triple - because he can... My avatar is him doing level 3 - imagine adding another foot to the jump and six inches to his overjump!
A client's horse, Sweet Dreams (Yak's full sister) will be starting out in the Novice Adult Hunters and hopefully moving up to the older AA's by the second week. BAM - Raewanda - will be ticketing a LOT, and doing something 2'6". It doesn't matter which division, she just needs miles. The main objective is to not have her classes going at the same time as Yak, as they are both special needs children. She is very green, he has balls. |

Thanks! It blew last night. I was doing the Animalintex/diaper poultice last night, and it was REALLY red/sore around her coronary band on her heel - and stinky too
. Today she went out with her diaper on, but was MUCH more comfortible - to the point I wasn't sure if her funkyness behind wasn't due to the mass o' duct tape on her foot. Poor baby. I am glad it is too cold to ride so I don't feel like I am missing out on some finishing touches needed before our trip. The most I have done with anyone for the past two days is WT lateral stuff and/or have them buckfart around the indoor.

That's great! Now she'll be more comfortable for sure. And onwards to being a good show pony Ya, it was -15 here this morning (better than teaching in the -20 for 3 hours last night ) and I wondered if I should bother riding. But I kept it short, played some tunes and had a really nice 30 minutes worth. Of course the first ten was walking, lateral work and stretching all the while under our toasty warm cooler. I was actually really happy and somewhat surprised by the quality of the work we got, considering the weather
Lucky you, you will be warm soon!
