IC:

Besh was a vampire. Always had been and always would be. And he didn't want it any other way. He was a warrior, and being such, had quick reflexes, and a quicker-to-light, shorter fuse. He had to have these things, as he was in the middle of a war between the three principal races of his world: Vampires, Werewolves, and Humans. Each had their similarities, but these were far outnumbered by their differences. For example, vampires were known for being more agile than werewolves and humans, but lacked the looks of humans and the power of the werewolves. But vampires were extremely fast, faster than humans and werewolves, and Besh fit the mold perfectly.

But Besh differed from his fellow vampires in one way:he had absolutely no remorse, no conscience. It was due to his remorselessness that he had been made a commander of the vampire army. He killed quickly, quietly, and coldly. Also, as a commander, Besh often took new recruits into the forest surrounding the main vampire capital city. He took them there for many reasons: training in fighting, training in survival, or for punishment for insubordination.

One day, Besh took a squad of new recruits into the forest for survival training. As they were setting up the campsite, there was a sudden rustling, the sound of something soaring through the air like projectiles, and everything went dark.

When Besh awoke, he found himself gagged and bound outside a dark building. Besh had no idea where he was, and this caused him to panic slightly. He struggled against his bonds, trying to get free before someone came.

It was none other than Vincent, a bounty hunter in general, but for this war he was a mercenary for the humans. They wanted him because he had qualities no other human had. He was half demon, able to transform into four different forms. Not only that, but he was easily the most skilled marksman in this war. The werewolfs wanted him and he did sort of fit it with Galian Beast, but Vincent stood with the humans since he looked more like them and would probably get killed by friendly fired if he remained with the werewolves. Vincent was a captain, which meant he was still commanding most of the army, they just didn't think he had the smarts for a commander. It didn't matter, he just needed a skilled platoon to use strategically and go through both of the other armies.

Vincent walked in circles around the vampire, a piece of paper in hand.

"You know, they're paying me quite the pretty penny to hand them to you, dead or alive! A commander of the Vampire army, you can't get much better than that. After we bombed your camp and killed about half of those weaklings, I shot down a few before simply walking in and carrying your body here. Interesting, no?"

"Yes, quite," Besh said, determined to remain cordial, even though he was trembling with rage. Rage at this man for killing his fellow vampires, and rage at himself for being so stupid. But, he didn't let his anger affect his voice in any way. "So tell me, would you? Was I the only target, or did you just feel like killing? And if so, why did you spare me? Just because I'm a commander? Somehow, I find that hard to believe."

"Oh no, I need to keep you alive, or I'll never get the best possible reward. The humans may do with you what they wish, whether it be torture, pure slaughter, interrogate painfully, it doesn't matter to me. I get a reward whether you're dead or alive."

Vincent chuckled some, spinning his pistol around with his fingers as he continued to talk.

"And your comrades? Why leave them alive to tell the tale? They would only complicate things, although now your fellow commanders know you're taken, they would have known much sooner and it would have made things more difficult for me unless I killed those weaklings with you. Not to mention a few words...Target practice."

Besh could hardly believe some human could be as heartless and calculating as this man. But, something about him told Besh that he was no ordinary human. Call it an aura, a hunch, a sixth sense ringing in his head, but Besh knew that this man--if he was a man--would be trouble. "So...you captured me for the money? Are you a bounty hunter? Or a mercenary? Those are the only two kinds of people I can think of that would kill for money. And another thing," he said, sawing at the rope that bound him with his extremely hard, sharp nails, "How much are you getting for me? Dead, or alive? I'm just curious." Whatever it took to keep him talking. Be it lies, truth, or whatever. Besh could feel the rope fraying. Slowly but surely, he was escaping. He just hoped that this bounty hunter/mercenary/killer didn't notice.

Vincent looked over at him and raised an eyebrow. Why was he so concerned with how much he was gettting turned in for?

"Well, for starters I'm known for both jobs. During wartime, a mercernary. Any other time, a bounty hunter, which is almost the same thing as far as I'm concerned, except a mercernary hunts bounties down during war."

He continued to walk around in circles, his head pointing up at the sky.

"As for your reward, well, you can find that out when I hand you over and you see them give me the briefcases full of cash."

Quickly pulling out his pistol, he smacked the Vampire in the head with it, figuring that this conversation was pointless and needed to end. Some more silence couldn't hurt either.

Besh had almost finished getting himself free, when suddenly, he was smacked in the side of the head with a gun, or at least that's what it felt like. "Ouch!" Besh said involuntarily. At that moment, the ropes binding him snapped, and he did his best to keep them around him for as long as it took. But that blow to the head was so surprising, Besh nearly lifted one of his hands to rub the spot. But he didn't. So, he had to wait until the throbbing subsided and the stars were gone before saying, "What the hell did you do that for?!"

And the oddest thing was, as much as Besh disliked this...man, he admired and respected him. He wasn't remotely frightened of him, as he knew that he would probably fetch a higher price alive. He would make a good Vampric Commander, Besh thought, before reprimanding himself silently.

"To silence you, but apparently it didn't work."

Smashing his pistol into the back of the vampire's head again, Vincent walked back to the front of the man.

"Now this time I expect silence, or I could always give you the death penalty."

Vincent smirked, and walked over to the building, sitting down with his back to the wall, making sure to keep an eye on the vampire. He had his pistol ready, but even more so he had his death penalty ready to shoot this vampire down if he somehow got up. Vincent wouldn't mind cashing in for the dead reward, but alive seemed so much nicer.

Besh badly wanted to hurt this bounty hunter, but his head was in too much pain. He didn't dare talk again, as the bounty hunter had threatened to kill him. And that would kind of mess up his escape plans. Then, the bounty hunter sat down, keeping a close eye on him. Great, Besh thought. Now I'm going to have to wait until he falls asleep, if he does sleep. Which for some reason, I doubt. I'll just have to wait for a distraction, I suppose. But, no one knows where I am. And I can't make a signal of some sort without him killing me. Besh sunk deeper and deeper into his thoughts, trying to figure out a way to make a distraction without actually making it.

Vincent yawned. He was up all night planning out this assault, and barely slept at all unfortunately.

Why didn't I wait a day or two before I executed this plan? Not to mention I just yawned, showing him my weakness for the moment.

Trying to cover it up, Vincent stood back up and continued to walk around, also trying to keep himself awake.

Besh had seen Vincent yawn, and knew that the time to escape was fast approaching. As he was an insomniac, and nocturnal as it was, he wasn't tired in the least. But he saw that Vincent was only walking to keep himself awake. All Besh had to do was wait it out...He'll be out before long.

Vincent kept walking, cracking his neck, jumping around, anything to keep himself active and awake. Who was he kidding? He was only fooling himself.

"Damnit..."

Walking back to the building, he sat back down...His plan was nearly complete.

Besh saw Vincent's resolve get ever weakened...and found that his was deteriorating, as well. What the hell? he thought. I'm nocturnal! Why am I getting tired? He looked at the sky, and saw the reason: the sun was rising. "I can't believe that I wasted a whole night with this bounty hunter," Besh muttered under his breath, beginning to fall asleep as he said it.

Vincent's gaze soon saw the sun as well, smirking.

"Thank God, the sun. Looks like I won Vampire, and I didn't even have to kill you once you tried to attack me...Don't think I'm stupid enough to not notice how you broke free. Next thing you will be seeing is the general of the humans, or one of his officers, I don't know nor care. Maybe, if you're realll lucky, you can see me getting all my money and then going off for my next bounty. I've heard it's another commander."

Smirking, he slowly stood up, his eyes barely able to stay open. The base wasn't too far away, he just couldn't be in it in case the Vampire did break free, they didn't want more than one casualty for their side, especially full humans, the bastards. He just had to be awake enough to carry the vampire back to base, and then he would sleep in the nearest tent, or there would be consequences to pay.

OOC: This post is kinda long its a basic introduction to my character so you can get all at once jsut what exactly she is about lol

Back at the base Vincent had been thinking of, Alexia paced. A human...a powerful witch actually, she was in this war for herself more so than the humnas, and actually tended to preferr the Vampiric side of things. She spin in a full fury knocking a table over in the process.

"Where that hell is Vincent!? I want Besh here, NOW!!!!"

Her blonde hair fell as she spun, all the way to her hips, and her icy blue eyes were firece.

"My...lady." An obviously male black panther by the door bowed his head to her. "Do you think he might be dead. He was dealing with vampires after all."

"Never! I'd know if he were dead. I took a strand of his hair and bound it to me so I'd know if anything like illness, our wounding or death had befallen him. Do you think I'm stupid?"

"N...no, never my lady. Please mistress, tell me, why exactly do you want the Vampire Besh?"

"Ah, my little Demon, Besh and I go far back. Before I ever summoned you as my beloved familliar. We are good friends actually. I just, had to go about summoning him this way for a particular reason. You know I work the dark magicks, yes?" The giant cat nodded and she went on. "The dark magicks allow me life long after I should have died. You...do not know of my origins, do you my pet?"

"No mistress."

"I am as old as the first vampire himself. I was there when he was created, I helped make him. He was a very good friend of mine. It was after he turned, and though his blood sacrifice that I was able to become practically immortal. I haven't aged since I was eighteen. I am of acient Rome, Demon. And though I've have many aliases, the Vampires still know me as you know me. My true name, Alexia Frost, the Witch of Ice."

"Why Witch of Ice, Lady? By your last name?"

"Frost was bestowed upon me when I mastered my art. I am the Witch of Ice because I am cold and uncaring. I've destroyed any and all who get in my way and feel not a moment regret or remorse for them. I have done many great things, Demon, in my long long life, many things indeed, and they have made me what I am today. The physical embodyment of pure, unbroken evil. And you my pet, should be very thankful to be on my side."

"I am."

"Good. Now go out and wait for Angel to return. She went to find an elder branch for me."

Her pet turned and walked out and her heard her have another small tantrum back in the room about where Vincent was with Besh.
