ive been wanting to write reviews
:D all bask in my biased opinion! anyways here goes me! yet another dive into the story-book world of Paper Mario! it starts off as any other game in the franchise would, that careless princess had gone off and gotten herself caught! yet again D:, you know i seriously think its some sort of strange foreplay she plays with the plucky plumber....my brain caught fire from the image that poped up...moveing on! so as soon as you start the game you get the heavy feel that the paper mario games have crafted, you get yourself psyced for another RPG romp, when it comes time to controll mario you quickly find its ...become a platformer...honestly i felt crushed at that moment, what was a distinguished game franchise had just melted into yet another face in the crowd "give it chance" cried my friends, and i did, i played the game as i would play any other, and mixing the RPG elements into the platforming style works well! a mix of scoreing points and gaining levels, makeing your "attacks" stronger and giveing you more health, items aplenty as in any other mario, the dwnside is you can use a "warp pipe" item and instantly exit a level, and aside from haveing to make the giant trek back you can really only die on boss stages i assume, so its easier, even given the limited amount of time you can stay in the 3-D world, but when you get a high enough level, its not so much a problem, now the characters! as it is a paper mario game the characters are lively, over-the-top, and just have great diologe ...exept...your main partner tippi, who seems devoid of personality as all the others had so very much....a shame...but the villans make up for it, never before had i seen such foolishly dynamic villans! (even the buricratic natalia had a few quirks). in typical PM fashion you gain a new partner(known as pixls) every chapter, with a few unlockables, wich keeps things even freasher with new puzzles to solve but really its biggest hit against it is falling into the "yet another Mario Platformer" catagory all in all, its far from a bad game, but feels so watered down, and despite its moves its still a mario platformer id say Rent it before you buy it 7.5 /10 |
