Genesis
  • The cosmic forces scattered about the universe congealed symmetrically into an unstable mass of echoing radiance. This amalgamation erupted with an
explosion so massive that the hyper-void of empty blackness consuming it lit, and for a near infinitum the light has dwindled. Vines or luminescent splendor seeped into the cracks of a shadowy soil, planting buds of random sentience within the luster of threads. These large filaments were once exuberantly niche and compact, held together by an enormous bright seed when the inevitable crack was heard. The expanding nature of these roots now threaten to deplete that glimmer they were known for. It was this irony to further expand that is tearing these lights apart, reaching into nothingness in vain to fulfill the void.

With a malnutrition nuclei filling what space it could, temporal anomalies riddled space on several wavelengths. Entities manifested from billions of years of evolution sought their existences throughout these lacteal tendrils. Various species and organisms shifted upon vapor clouds of asteroids striking planets throughout the universe, others grown from dormant rocks as quiet tombs of bacteria feeding on arsenic. Other forms of life might have stood upright, walked, extinct or ever living, on homes with many suns or without. Their reach were far beyond the centralize point in which cataclysmic events took place, but were never out of touch of its extraterritorial importance.

Monstrosities consuming large nebulae whole swam the torrential black sea. Beast from ages way back surfaced unto worlds from beyond the time of lifeless obsidian. The anomaly of voluminousness divines born on the dawn of the universal seeding dread derelict regions not yet discover, or perhaps once populated. Human like beings roamed vacant worlds as divination to the life they now inhabit, occupiers of realities exposed to the rift of torn light. The temporal collapse brought phantoms, ghouls, and demons alike from various realms unto a infantile and fledgling dimension. Their origins differ and could possibly be spawns of the coincidental birth manufactured by a universal explosion of light. A possible disharmony of frequencies coexist in a decoherent relationship, a chaotic coalescence one must be atoned to become a walker of this fragmented realm. This lack of unification ushered in a near endless potential of boundless depth the living is capable of.

Rifts of Existence

Billions of years passed and these cosmic lives ruined worlds with war waging terror, and tearing upon the maturing fabrics that tenuously held these threads of light together. These beast came in all shapes and origin, discovering the bountiful blessings of scuttling realities, realms, and civilizations alike to dine on the escaping energies that they internally compromised of. The inhalers were vicious -- carnivorous creatures that were undivided by race, alliance, or even region but by their insatiable hunger to devourer through conflict. They were renowned by title alone no matter whom held a position, and an urgent need to achieve dominance on a young realm brought about a proliferation of inhalers. Emperors of distance planets, Kings of other realities, or simple lesser sentience needed to grasp these sources of light in order to defend themselves and inhalers they became. Their commoners were bestowed these traits with righteous pride, as survival was paramount to prestige.. and longevity.

The first war -- the first contact, were a build up of eons of the deceased. Explorations into uncharted territory brought only death, and monumental powers flung at foes in trenches on solar systems wrought a sickening calamity. Galactic bodies imploding into dust consuming warps of blackness eventually became inhalers of whole systems. Galaxies siding with their celestial factions collided with rival galaxies where their center fought for supremacy, as inhalers were created out of stars that evolved from the ceaseless death their impure legions introduced. The emptiness that encompassed the threads of light were inflicted with a profound corruption, threatening to eat itself back to the nothingness that they were born from. Photon emissions vaporized neighboring life bearers as exhaust from the largest of inhalers, breading only desperation and death to all exposed in its entropy. Divines fought without remorse to undo their sin with the echoes of shattered event horizons, conquered realms, and further inhalation of whole life.

A magnitude of fierce inhalation were quickened for each slaying of worlds. Lords of darkness, demons from underworlds, and any sacrosanct battled each other and themselves. They would harness these large powers of the inhalers as inhalers, making mince of any nemesis opposing them. This era of chaos threatened to destroy this new found universe asunder, all by the ambitions of beings from other or even native of this realm. A forbearance herald by nature's own golden standard tired these forces to a halt; in spite of, little intervention was necessary to facilitate this natural selection no one here was inexorable. Messages from the dead only foretold the end of this grueling bout, as death was common enough to walk among the living. Though the inhalers stripped these walking icons of a grim future of significance, the extinction of inhalers only hoped to reprise their role instead. By these means, one final act created a homage, a hub, a heaven, and a stop to these atrocities. Dalamar would bring upon the existence of a realm in which all would be interconnected, but only simply discovering such an actuality.

The Zones

A single dark lord with a ruinous appetite inadvertently spared what could be considered a near limitless future from oblivion. The selfish act of creating a reality that all could coalesce in union was crafted by him, but his role as inhaler came to an abrupt end by courageous people. The legend of Dalamar is told in many incarnations, but the legacy and his existence remains only true to a fathomable few. He would be known as father of the original realm known as Cross Realms, and this separation of temporal chaos between states now became uniformed.. and more detached. Those residence of their native realm were pushed back a many by this new transition, though a great number still dwell here. The act of inhalation was no longer as prevalent though its practices are now very apparent to this modern age.

The sanctioned segregation of nomadic warriors, though divine as they were wandering, tossed into the barren waste fields of an ancient universe. That universe flickered on the tones of decoherence the youthful universe bred, giving speculation as being the ruination or, "original world," that was destroyed by the inhaler's ancient agenda. Demons that were either older than the void or simply foreign tacit were banished to a native realm where nightmares flourish, despite their actual origin. The mystery of this nightmarish universe were never solved, as claims are made that it existed long before time itself. The haven that many tattered souls desired to sleep in, broken homes of victims found harmony for, and possibly wanders go to retire ended up in their own cornered off dimension. Though paralleling the very universe they might come from, certain characteristics might determine it could be older than Cross-Realms. Any remnants not found to be confined in their appropriate macrocosm lingered onto this growing reality, and a neutral colony of life were found on a planet distant from the turmoil: Earth.

The Holocene epoch saw humanity as the great builders or gear shifters of their planet, sharing an ancestry with the fore-bearers that littered the universe around them. It would be considered the epicenter of where now new divine guardians, representatives, and emperors gathered to mingle. Their dark gifts bestowed onto this fairing species only created a new siege of irony, as a new-found player into the dark arts only resumed the tiresome spinning wheel. Interfering with man's affairs as their Gods, exploiting humanities curious and selfish needs, but also encouraging the race's own potential into cosmic power trifled the warring need for tranquility the other realmers achieved. They bred mystics from these molds that already tampered with knowledge inherited by millenniums of isolation. All that had occurred from this contact was an acceleration of humanity's importance on the current universe.

A new grizzly breed of inhalers found new host to parasitically inhabit, as the metaphor goes. Humans would use their innate specialties, magics, and other paranormal powers to channel into these forbidden realms as Pandora's box were unleashed onto them a bloodlust like no other. Though these skirmishes pale to the outlandish war that divided the stars, these new contenders harnessed ancient lore effortlessly as if they were adept from birth. These new inhalers ravaged themselves and other realms without delay, but this trend of life consumption was only transient. Time only disjointedness the coherence between these fragmented frequency with the potency of thousands to millions of years, and humanity's ignorance from their book burning only echoed the dissonance.

Aqua Zone - Earth

It is unknown whether humans evolved from earth, or made of the genetic makeup of their counter-part dimensional walkers; however, their role played a pivotal part into the vast separation of the original zones. The finite access ways that one could traverse the planes became increasingly popular in the 5th century. The folklore of biblical, mythological, or even camp fire stories may be footprints of foreign intervention. The sensationalism of magic, mysticism, and so on bloomed from athens to the brave new world. Inhalers were only a commodity of storytelling, but their presence were consistent in the form of vampires, demons, and others alike that were or were not human. Guildes, clans, or even countries warred for dominance not only with themselves, but with realms forbidden to them. The market of magic was a large frontier before the 18th century, as taverns were home to many way-would travelers visiting Earth's luscious resources or avoid the justice of their pursuers. Cross Realms degenerated into a hub where many different universes emerged, and they'd traffic the lot back to Earth.

It was an interesting but unspoken relationship, because many commoners of Earth were not privy to how real their fairytale were. A unique narration were told among the denizens here, but whole-fully ignorant masses only had their imagination to envision these possibilities. To many that interacted from earth, it was as easy as hiding in plain sight; though, the arts of magic, sorcery, summoning, and so on were not truly foreign to earthlings, the wisdom exchanged from realms started to thin as time progressed. Humanity matured into an industrial and technological age, hollowing out the prospects of further researching magics long forgotten; though a great many remained even in the 21st century, humanity's ability to intertwine these zones became forgotten. Those that are equipped with these tools still find it impossible to open the interstellar gates, mainly because of the rifting decoherence that was spurred from the universe's conception.

Now the zones that once united multidimensional races together grew apart. The fate of Cross realms, nightmare realm, warrior realm, and Haven Realm are obviously to humans and the natives of this plane. It could be that the disconnect is caused by the taboo of warp practices, or maybe just a weaken of frequency that keeps them apart. Humanity now is plagued with an insufferable void of constant war, as inhalers are replaced by ambition to conquer, to horde, and death dealing to control. They wield technological might akin to ancient civilizations that existed before the war of inhalers, or maybe even during. Though these feats are primitive in comparison, they are not without merit and thousands of spirits now roam a spectral land of grief. As technology, hunger, and fear grew so did the necessity for power among paranormal users to contend. The occasional entity from another era or plane might emerge to assist a side, or possible ageless mystics roam about again to aid a faction they desire. One thing is certainly evident, and that the world is now inhabited by a new breed of inhalers.. one that only inhales death.
