A lot has been going on, most of it due to one of two things: Family and School. For the family aspect of it: While my parents were in Maryland earlier this year, they left me in charge of my sister and allowed her to have a friend over during the time my parents were gone. This was only to be about a week long deal. Well, during the time my parents were away my sister and I were constantly at odds with each other. Her friend, which we would find out later, was the one intentionally trying to put us against each other. In order to make a much longer story short (ha ha, me make a long story short, is that even possible!?), that friend then decided to say she loved me and wanted to be with me. Well, she is sixteen. I am twenty four (until a month from today), so I said no. Too much of an age difference and with me going into the education field, I do not want any kind of negative views of me personally by courting a minor. Well, she decided to start spreading rumors around the school that she slept with me. That got the police involved and all sorts of other problems. This of course greatly interfered with my internship remediation early this year to get me ready for internship in the fall. For the school aspect of it: I have been going through my second round of internship since the first one flopped. So I have been highly stressed wanting to make it good this time. I haven't been getting much sleep because of trying to cram in the school work as well as taking care of my own shit at home like dishes, or laundry when the need came up. The school I was placed at was 70 miles away from my home, which meant every day I was driving for at least 140 miles round trip if I went directly to and from school. This meant that at least 3 hours of my day was spent driving. I would wake up at 5:30 in the morning to leave the house by no later than 6:30 in the hopes of arriving at the school on time by 7:30 in the morning. I'd be at school until 3:00 at the earliest, 4:00 at the latest unless something else was happening such as faculty meetings or open house or the like. Well... At anyrate yesterday I was told that I was going to be removed from my internship site because of 1) health issues and 2) because I am not living up to the expectations that they have for me. So, that's why I made this lil picture to work on my frustration.

I'm not as... distraught as I was when they told me they were going to remove me. Granted, I was crushed and pretty upset. Now, I'm kinda looking at things with a fuck-you-all attitude when it comes to the school. I still wanna teach, but, I've actually reconsidered the idea of doing it in general now. That's something that I find funny. During the meeting my college supervisor was talking about "don't let this affect you as a person." and of course there were lines about "well everyone has failed at something." Yeah, real smooth lady. And Stu, thank you for the humor. It was very appreciated in my current situation. ^_^ Oh yeah, let's not forget the "well its like with your girlfriend. If you messed up you'd wanna meet her the next day with roses and chocolate to say you were sorry." So what does that tell me? Flirt with my MALE directing teacher? I am sure Shard can attest to some of the massive suck -which even Candy can not come close to- that is UNF.

I have to go meet with the college supervisor that worked with me, and the director of field experiences on the 19th. However this time I am not going to sit there quietly, I only hope that I don't show my ass too much. So far they've been talking about how it is rare when a SECOND chance is granted for internship. I don't think I'm going to bother with a third, even if offered. I'm going to see if there are other options to just get my degree and get the hell out of dodge with my sanity and out of handcuffs.

Don't you get sick of that, Larson? I'm always hearing about cases where a well-meaning teacher gets cornholed just because some little bitch wants to go around spreading rumors for attention/vindication/etc. Have you ever considered, instead of teaching children, being a professor instead? Actually Shau I think it would be more like this... To answer your questions and comments, yes. Yes I get sick of hearing about how teachers get screwed over when meaning well, but are given little or no benefit of the doubt before getting the boot. I also get sick of hearing about those individuals who are teaching and are doing such disgusting things as sleeping with their students or other such things behind closed doors. I have thought about teaching higher levels such as at a community college or university level however in order to do that, I need much more time in school. I need a masters degree or better in order to teach just at a community college. I can get away with a BA teaching as an adjunct in an area that has high demand but no qualified staff to teach it. To teach a university level class, I know I need a Ph.d after my name if not sell my soul in the process. Because of these requirements I know that I am not going to be able to go that route and teach education since I am unable to complete that school track. I would like to thank everybody for what they've said and for their condolences, concerns, and humor. I'm not going to let this defeat me the way I've been beaten down in the past by other lesser matters. I've all ready started on my way toward a BA in English, and after getting the degree and finding some sort of income with a regular job, I'll see if I can move further than that. For now, until school starts up again I'm at home and trying to take care of obligations there in addition to struggling with my pen to create something worth while that I can try to market.
