THIS THREAD IS THE FOR DISCUSSING OF THREAD UNEXPLAINBLE THINGS.

Anyway, the first thing to say here is that my next post should be done by today or tomorrow. Kthx.

It's been slow....again...due to Uni...again. Fuck man, Uni takes up too much of your time!
“A book is made from a tree. It is an assemblage of flat, flexible parts (still called "leaves") imprinted with dark pigmented squiggles. One glance at it and you hear the voice of another person, perhaps someone dead for thousands of years. Across the millennia, the author is speaking, clearly and silently, inside your head, directly to you. Writing is perhaps the greatest of human inventions, binding together people, citizens of distant epochs, who never knew one another. Books break the shackles of time, proof that humans can work magic.”

Ok folks, me and Auron are working on helping Rin with some RP stuff, but I'll try to get a post out of him as soon as I can. He also says he's been busy, and that's life for ya.

I meant to include this in the other one...

That may be so Auron, but more often than not when I try to contact someone (though it hasn't been as prevailant as of late) the number one thing I heard from them is that they were playing WOW at the time everyone was waiting. That problem has somewhat declined as of late and I think anymore its an injoke for the members lol.

Once again, we're waiting on Rin, and that's the sole reason, so don't worry.

[edit] By the way, me and Auron plan on having the thread begin to move, whether Rin is ready or not, tomorrow. We've both lost patience.

Ya know, I have been pondering this question for a bit of time now and this place seems as good as any to ask, does anybody else set thier battles to music, for example, I am imagining the current battle raging in UT by way of this song.

First Enouncter/Dance With Domz from the Beyond Good and Evil Soundtrack.

I have themes that go with a lot of my characters and I sometimes put on whatever goes with who I'm posting as to "sync up" with the character. more often though for fights I just select the most badass Nightwish tracks I've got and let 'er rip.

Same here, a lot of my characters have theme songs, for both combat and just an overall leitmotif (thats the "proper" term for a theme song). Some have multiple leitmotifs for both combat and mere presence. It sometimes helps get into the personality of a character if you have a tune of music that fits how you envision them.

And I agree with Auron, that shit is double awesome.

Yes, I do tend to have specific tracks for certain characters. For example, when using the character Swordie, I play Marilyn Manson's Seizure of Power

Indeed, I have to agree with you all about music play lists for posting. In fact, on a humorous note. during the fight between Larson and Fautus when he first joined up with the DCA, Shau and I both ended up using the Final Fantasy VII J-E-N-O-V-A theme for the battle. I laughed when we shared each other's playlist at the time.

Though, I tend to use music when posting, and even in writing. I have to agree with Evasto that the choice of music does help you get into character or set up the scene much better. There's been many times I've tried to write but I can't get into the mood 'cause I don't have the music available. Funny huh?

Though mostly I tend to use video game soundtracks as opposed to specific artists. Auron, you're right Nightwish does make bad ass soundtracks to work with for posting or writing purposes - not to mention it syncs hella good with Final Fantasy IX specifically.

As far as theme songs go, well, it changes from time to time, like for Shard I am using music from the upcoming game Bionic Commando Rearmed, like the main title track, as his theme.

This was kinda interesting to note: I was listening through the rest of the Bionic Commando Rearmed tracklist on a net browser tab while going the rest of the forums, and I got to Hoshi's thread. Nearly every one of the tracks matches rhythm with her Lucky Star sig animation.

Quite neat to watch : ) I noticed it first on "Meet The Enemy and Descend".
