Oh, nice, I thought it was just out in Europe. *Off to download.* Edit: Yes, it is somewhat slow. It also won't let me put a capital in the middle of a word, like the second A in my screenname. It also doesn't hide passwords at all. And while it does have flash, it is an old version, so no youtube. =( Edit not made while on the Wii: They should make a keyboard attachment. That would make things better. I'm sure things'll improve since this is just a trial version. |

I'm afraid the real version will cost money, which I don't think I'd pay $20 for a browser that I have on my computer and it's 100x more efficient. Homestarrunner.com works though, watching a few strong bad emails on it is great fun. Clicking can be QUITE a pain too. |

Damn... sorry to hear that Nellas. The real version should come out in March, and will be free for everyone until July. After that it will cost $5. Or so I have read. But yes, computer is a lot more efficient, but then, if the Wii works with youtube, then my little can go watch videos and such in the living room and stop trying to steal my computer. |

Hello there.

Hehehe, I have a way around that... Cellphone input. I'm actually quite fast at that now, and it's so much easier on the Wii than keyboard input.
:P I haven't actually gotten my Wii yet, but I've played Brutok's. I definitely find cellphone input easier, but the problem is not too many people are fluent in it. In Japan though, it's a different story. Keitai (cellphone) input is like a second native language there. |

It's not really a language if it's just another way to type it. It's more like a second native "manuscript"... or some shit like that. and WHY CAN'T THE WII SHOP CHANNEL GET PAST THE "CONNECTING PLEASE WAIT" SCREEN?!! |

.....Im sorry, but I just could not stop laughing over that XDDD More on topic, the Wii doesn't have a spot to plug in a keyboard? That sucks....I'll get one eventually, but as of now, there's no games out that interest me. I like buying more than one game at a time so I can build a healthy library. So how is the Wii's internet browser thingum? Anything groundbreaking or new? |

The Wii has 2 USB ports, so there SHOULD be keyboard support. Actually, lemme rephrase that. There BETTER be keyboard support. Good games? Pheh. Try... Everything?! Damn near every one of the Wii release titles have gotten good reviews. Red Steel, Rayman, Zelda, ExciteTruck, CoD 3, etc. etc. etc... I don't have as much trouble with the Wii Shop channel... But when I was downloading the Internet Channel, it took like... half an hour. |

One of the times I tried to get onto the Shopping Channel it didn't go through, either. I wonder why that happens. But when I got the Internet Channel it connected and went through with no problem. Took about ten minutes to download, I think. I might be exaggerating. Maybe it was five. Was a while ago, so I don't remember. I somewhat doubt that a USB keyboard will work out. I don't know why, but I don't really foresee Nintendo using the USB ports much. My brother got Trauma Center for Christmas and he's addicted to the game. At least it's gotten him to stop asking me to race him at Excite Truck. ... He kicks my butt every time. The Internet Channel is not so great. Nothing that exciting, and this trial version is pretty clunky to use. Luckily they updated the flash, so youtube does work on it now, so that's all I really wanted out of it, to be able to watch youtube videos on my television. But, beyond that, most of the games that have come out most people enjoy. I don't have much interest in third party games yet (Didn't really like Red Steel or Rayman when I rented them, and I'm really not into war games), but other people have absolutely loved them. Zelda and Excite Truck have kept me plenty happy, though. And the Weather Channel is lots of fun. |

I'm gonna hazard a guess that there's some kinda queue on the Wii Shop server, that holds you out until there's an open spot. Maybe they only allow a certain number of people on the Wii Shop at a time. |

I never said the Wii didn't have good games, nor did I imply I wanted advice for any e.e' As of now, none of the games it has out interest ME, so thats why Im holding out on buying it. As of now, the only games I've physically played, are Red Steel and ExciteTruck. The latter was pretty fun, but not my thing. Red Steel is to be used as fuel for a fireplace though. That game is no fun at all. >_>' I've heard good things about Rayman, but Im not one for sillyness n' stuff in my games. Im not happy unless somethings exploding or bleeding. Preferably at the same time. o-o' All I was asking was how is the Internet browser thingum. |

Hello there.

Well excuuuuuuuse me, The browser, at its current stage in development, is... A browser. Nothing more, nothing less. In fact, it's less than a browser. All the internet text displays horribly on a TV screen, and you have to zoom to be able to read anything. There's no "home" or "end" key type functionality for quick navigation to the top or bottom of a page, not to mention no page up or page down either. All you can do is scroll down SLOWLY with the remote and wait for the bottom of the page to show up. -_- Text input, well we already covered that. It sucks. As Amadis said, flash support is confirmed, dunno what other little goodies it has in the plugins department. I haven't tested that yet. So no. Nothing groundbreaking about it. Not to mention that it uses frigging Opera as its rendering engine. Why not Firefox? No fuckin' clue. o_o; |

You're excuuuuuuuuuuused Narcos, and if you'd have paid any attention to my original question as well as the first person who answered it, then maybe you wouldn't have jumped to the conclusion that I want everyone to shut up and address my question.
Yeah....dont remember asking that. So think before you start making assumptions, and proceed to initiate insert-foot-in-mouth procedures. Go on....I'll wait =\ Oh, and thanks for actually answering to question. Still a bit annoyed with the whole "FAWK UR KEYBOARD,LOLZ" bit, though >_>' |

Hey now, don't be mean to Aria, she was just trying to be helpful. Not like you implied you Didn't want advice for games, either. You said you liked to buy "more than one game at a time so [you] can build a healthy library," so Aria was just suggesting what is presently a healthy library. You lost me with the being "annoyed with the whole 'FAWK UR KEYBOARD,LOLZ' bit" part, though, that went right over my head. I'm not sure what you were talking about there. |

Sorry bout that Vibey. I was in a bit of a bad mood when I posted that. Not pissed at you, at some shit that was going on here at the time. Didn't mean to take it out on you.
She's referring to the fact that the Wii doesn't support a USB keyboard. o_o; Oh, one more thing. According to my research *puts on spectacles* The Wii USB ports aren't even programmed to do anything yet, and it's advised not to plug anything into them or it might crash the Wii... O_o Well, I guess if you look at it on the bright side, we can hope for some firmware updates to straighten that out. Nintendo wouldn't leave dead USB ports sitting there for no damn reason. :D |

zomg! Me? Mean to Aria? Nevarrr! She's muh buddeh =P The thread was about posting courtesy of the Wii's browser, correct? So....I asked a question that was on topic, though I made sure to explain that I didn't have a Wii and why I didn't have a Wii. I work in a game store, sexy head, I know what games are available and what I'd be interested in. The REASON I mentioned that I didn't ask for any advice was because it seemed like everyone jumped on the bandwagon of trying to mention good games for meh and....forgetting my original question. I think it came out wrong, now that Im reading it over. Didn't mean to sound....err....mean. |

Yeah, you'll have to imagine my surprise when it sounded like you were telling Aria to "think before you start making assumptions, and proceed to initiate insert-foot-in-mouth procedures." =/ But good, as long as you weren't being mean to Aria. ^^ I don't know about other people, but I was giving my opinion on which games I thought were good and not. Wasn't trying to give you advice, was just commenting on Lord Narcos' comment, specifically that Red Steel was good. Though, Ms. Sexy Everything, you'll have to forgive me for the fact that, despite there having been a whole thread on it and you mentioning it a lot, I completely forgot for the moment that you work at a game store. I forget people exist in real life sometimes. XD But, yes, I tried to answer your question, too. Back on topic, in short, nope, nothing spectacular about the Internet Channel trial version, but it gets the job done, but does need much improvement for when the real version comes out. And lastly, nothing against you Lord Narcos, you're a good guy, just don't share your taste in games. =P |

Lol. Nuuu, that was directed towards Narcos, cause I thought his first comment was rather rude. Apparently, he didn't mean to take his frustrations out on me, so it's all good. Lmao xD. It's no fair, you cant call me 'Ms. Sexy Everything'. You gotta pick a specific body feature. And back on topic, I just recently saw a video of how the Internet Browser thingy works, and it really does look pretty inconvenient x.x' Hopefully they fix it in the near future. Two pointless USB ports is.......well.....pointless =_= |

What's wrong with PS3? It works like a charm, and is shiny.....so very shiny.... I had more problems with the God Damn Wii mote while trying to bowl on that stupid Wii Sports crap. Oh, and SORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRY I took time out of my very....busy....schedule to suggest a game I thought you might not of seen, (Trauma Center: Second Opinion, remembered name) since it fits several things for some reason I thought you would like (anime nurses, and abuse of medical equipment). Next time I will take my attempts to be friendly elsewhere! (Sorry Ness, I really want to know about any problems with PS3) |
