Hello there. Posts: 905 Group: Beta Testers Member #16 Joined: November 26, 2006	(OOC: When we last saw them, Sol and Dyna had landed in front of Zero's Cafe for lunch. I don't feel like describing the storefront again right now, I might add it in later. Blah blah blah Sol & Dyna only yadda yadda make with the typie typie) "Let's go in, shall we? Oh, lemme warn you. Zero's kinda... strange," said Sol, smiling a little.
	My word, is this sig old or what?

Hello there. Posts: 905 Group: Beta Testers Member #16 Joined: November 26, 2006	"It's probably better this way anyway..." Sol remarked in reaction to Dyna opening the door. He went past her, and didn't make it more than two steps inside before taking a large Nerf dart to the side of the head. "What the f--" "BWAHAHAHAHA I finally got you! You didn't even see that coming!" The 'assassin' could be seen right inside the door, to the right, holding a Nerf dart gun. He had long blonde hair tied back in a ponytail, and was wearing round bright green sunglasses that would look more at home on Elton John. He had baggy jeans and a hawaiian shirt on, and a name tag that had simply the number '0' on it. Wouldn't take a rocket scientist... Sol sighed "Yep. You got me. Dunno why... Must be an off day for me or somethin'." Zero chuckled. "Yes, I'm feeling different vibes from you today, fire dude. Your aura's looking a little more pink than usual..." He noticed Dyna. "Oh ho HO! Now I get it, the picture's all clear to me now." Sol blushed. "Hey now wait one second! If you think--" Zero cut him off. "No man, I don't think. I know. You're in l-- "YOU GONNA GIVE US A TABLE OR WHAT?!"

"Wait... pink aura? What are we talking about here?" She looked to Sol with that 'I know you're hiding something and I WILL find out' look playfully, grinning a little. She took the moment to take a look around the place, see what it was like.

Hello there. Posts: 905 Group: Beta Testers Member #16 Joined: November 26, 2006	Dyna would notice that quite possibly every lighting effect she had ever seen in her life had been incorporated into the decor of this cafe. Blacklights, neon, and motorized spotlights dotted the room (no strobes or technos though, Zero liked to keep his cafe open to everyone, even epileptics). The carpet was black with lines of 1's and 0's paralleling each other on it. Dyna might not know this, but the pattern was actually the binary for the word 'carpet' repeated continuously. Toward the front on the left side was a bar with typical cafe-type things adorning it, the various machines used for making coffee and the like. The counter also had a flat-panel LCD monitor on it, presumably used as a cash register display. The center and right side were adorned with various tables and booths with people sitting, eating and talking. Toward the back was something a bit out of place in a normal cafe, but not in Zero's. There were three rows of study carrel-like desks spanning about half the width of the cafe, each sporting a 19-inch LCD flat panel monitor, mouse and keyboard. Below each desk was a black fulltower PC glowing neon green with various cosmetic lighting. The rows of desks were mimicked also on both sides of the back right corner. People could be seen on these computers playing various first person shooters and communicating through headsets connected to the computer. To the left of this 'Cyber Corner' (in fact that's what the sign said) was a large set of double doors presumably leading to the kitchen. Zero laughed at Sol's outburst, deciding to let it go, and began walking, motioning to them to follow him. Toward the back, not too far from the Cyber Corner was a booth with a sign in front of it that said "Off Limits: VIP Only". There wasn't anything different about this booth aside from the fact that it was a lot cleaner than the others, and closer to the kitchen. "Here ya go, the best seat in the house for one of my best customers. I'll be back with some menus." Zero shuffled off to the other side of the cafe.

"The thing is, according to Zero, everyone has an aura that displays their moods and emotions. It's like a swirling rainbow of color that Zero and select other people can see. Mine's usually red (as if you didn't know that), meaning passion, lust, and stuff like that... Zero seemed to take pleasure in remarking that my aura looks a bit less lustful and a bit more... pink." He leaned in closer to Dyna, looking into her eyes. "You wouldn't know what that means, would you?"

"Y-you wouldn't kill me, would you?!" She laughed, resting her head in hands as she propped her elbows on the table, listening to Sol's explanation. She acted like she was in deep thought, before looking like a lightbulb had clicked in her mind. "Oh! Well, Pink IS a light red... I guess it means... you're getting weaker! Uh oh, maybe you're not what you used to be, Sol!" She tried to look stunned by her conclusion, but couldn't keep from grinning from teasing the poor boy.

He put up a finger, poking Dyna's nose with it and then recoiling as if it burned him. "I don't have too many weaknesses, but I think you're one of them." His face became a little more serious as he looked in Dyna's eyes once again, "But seriously... I guess I might as well be honest... Dyna, I've been with a lot of girls in my lifetime... But none of them have ever had this effect on me. You... I don't think there are really enough words to describe how amazing you are. I'm sure you've heard this from plenty of guys before, but I... I think I'm in l--" "Hey guys, here's your menus!" Sol facepalmed. "Excellent timing as always, Zero."

She found herself almost short of breath towards the end, before Zero interrupted. She quickly grabbed a menu, embarrassed, and hid her face, with a quick "Thanks!"

Posts: 905 Group: Beta Testers Member #16 Joined: November 26, 2006	Despite being miffed at Zero's interruption, Sol couldn't help but chuckle a little at the reaction Dyna had to his words. He decided to leave well enough alone and opened his menu, browsing through the choices. Zero's menu was... strange, for lack of a better word. His selections ran from good old American fa(s)t food like pizza or burgers to some Western European dishes like paella and various pastas, to East Asian things like sushi and fried rice. Zero himself was half-Spanish, half Japanese, so he had decided to make a menu of things that spoke of his heritage. Zero smiled. "Since I like you guys so much, I'll take your order myself, so just start talking when you're ready."

He thought for a moment, then added a '2' next to Dyna's order, "Don't worry, I'll pay for it." He smiled, then looked at Sol. "And what'll you have, Birdy?" "I told you not to call me that..." He surveyed the menu for a few more seconds, then looked up at Zero. "Well, I'm sure you'd have guessed this one, but... Gimme the 'Special'." He grinned mischeviously at Zero, who replied "Okay, but last time, you dropped some and it burned a hole in my carpet. You're lucky I like ya, or I'd have charged you for the whole rug section that had to be replaced. Just watch where you spill that stuff, man!" He wrote down Sol's order, then walked away, leaving Sol and Dyna alone. "Sooo... Where was I before I was so food-ly interrupted?"

She chuckled and grinned at Sol upon hearing the nickname he didn't much care for. The foxgirl looked a bit confused, pondering what this special might be, before Sol focused his attention back on her, finding herself almost a bit embarrassed to hear what she thought he might say, working to change the subject. "Food-ly interrupted? Getting a little cheesy, are we?" She paused a moment before sweatdropping. "Erm, no pun intended..."

I've been alive for 10,000 years. You'd have to try a lot harder than that to sneak something by me." He smirked mischeviously, looking into Dyna's eyes. "So what is it you're afraid of? I'm sure as desirable as you are, you'd be used to having guys fall for you. So if it's not that, what's got you so fidgety all of a sudden?"

She blushed a little again, glancing down towards the table. "I... I don't know. I'm used to guys being attracted to me sexually... And I, and correct me if I'm wrong, but I feel something different from you. And... Well, I... I mean, I kinda..." She stammered a little, blushing a little deeper and trying to find the words.

This is something I just have to sort out myself, babe. Don't worry yourself about it. I'll be fine." He put his finger under Dyna's chin, guiding it upwards so that he could look in her eyes. He smiled, "Thank you..." With that, Sol kissed Dyna again, this time a bit stronger and more passionate, but still gentle and caring. "Heh heh heh, just as I thought!" Sol broke the kiss in surprise. "What, did you learn to teleport and not tell me?" "No, not yet, but I have been working on it a little. Anyway, here's your orders guys, enjoy!" Zero set down the couple's plates, then walked off to do something or other.

She took the chopsticks from her plate, separated them, and picked up one of her shrimp sushi, holding it near her mouth as she spoke once Zero had left. "...Suppose he's jealous?" She giggled again before sticking the sushi in her mouth.

Hello there. Posts: 905 Group: Beta Testers Member #16 Joined: November 26, 2006	Sol chuckled. "Nah, he's not jealous. Believe it or not, he's pretty good with the ladies. That aura-vision really comes in handy, he can use it to spot the girls who have compatible personalities. That's how he found his current girlfriend of 3 years. Not a bad strategy, but I prefer my own. Don't you?" He smiled slyly, then began eating his 'Special'. It was a sub-style sandwich with some unidentifiable meat in it, which was so covered with a bright red sauce it was impossible to tell what it was. The sauce itself was made entirely of hot peppers that had been magically grown to have 3 times the heat of Naga Jolokia peppers, the hottest peppers in the world. Sol took a bite, letting out an "mmmmmm" as he chewed.

She looked at Sol and smiled, shrugging as she picked up the last of her sushi. "Not sure. Anything you feel like doing?" She thought a moment before lighting up again. "Oh, we could go down to the bay. We could fish, or swim, or even just walk along the boardwalk. Anything could be fun, as long as I'm with you." She smiled again before tossing the sushi up into the air, trying to move her open mouth underneath of it to catch it as it fell back down.

As Dyna tossed up the piece of sushi, she would realize it had never come back down, and if she looked at Sol, she would see him chewing with a look of mock innocence on his face. "Sure, that sounds like a pretty good idea, minus the swimming part... Shall we go?"

She set her chopsticks down with a nervous smile. "Sorry, didn't think about that... But surely a walk could be nice. Take a look at the bay, get sucked into your surroundings... Ah, I just love getting lost in the scene sometimes." She looked serene as she daydreamed again, which she had been doing a lot of today for some reason...
