I did not see the game here in Rome but as a San Jose fan I have always liked Wondolowski but have always felt he runs the risk, as this article by NBC Sports' Steve Davis also points out of becoming the current version of Taylor Twellman or Jason Kreis, excellent MLS strikers who just could not cut it at the international level.

Wondlowski looked good apparently in scoring against Belize and Cuba but as the opposition has become more difficult his level of play has dropped. As Davis points out Eddie Johnson's return to the team, and the success he enjoyed versus El Salvador, complicated Wondolowski's chances of making a further impression here.

Donovan's play is not really a surprise but Corona's has been to me. I know he starts for Tijuana but with US youth teams and his past national team play his displays were spotty. Now he is showing a lot of confidence and will I think be an ideal stand in for either Dempsey or Zusi and if he continues his improvement he could even challenge them, especially Zusi, for playing time.

I also think Jose Torres has answered the questions about his play. In the correct position in midfield he can provide a lot of distribution and ball movement. And Diskerud is as others noted a mini Michael Bradley. Some good things coming out of this US team which will give Klinsmann grounds for thought when qualifying resumes. not so much amongst his starters but relating to who gets called in as backups with the full squad.

Include me with those thinking Wondolowski is not really suited to jump up to the full team. At best he is a reserve when other attackers are unavailable.

Solid performance & LOVE this team's "killer instinct"!!! Got a bit hairy at the end of the first half & start of second half but the goal by Eddie "Demolition Man" Johnson really did ES in!

Should have had more goals but that's just nit-picking...Landon Donovan is playing like "Captain America with a chip on his shoulder", lol.

Just can't see this team losing...they are on a mission, especially Landon!!!
US Soccer...Don't Thread On Me!

LA Galaxy...5-time MLS Cup Champions!
