Congrats to Mexico from a Brasil fan. Mexico deserved the win, Brasl just committed too many mistakes, and not just in the final but throughout the tournament. They got away with those mistakes against lesser teams but not versus Mexico. There were some bright moments for Brasil so no need to throw this whole porject out as the team builds towards 2014 but reactions like this from the federation are not needed. They threw Rafael under the bus, blaming his mistakes for the defeat. That is unexcusable coming from the federation and Rafael's teammates and coaches are defending him. This won't be the team which takes the field for Brasil at World Cup 2014 but maybe 5-6 of these players will be key contributors. Add some new players in each line and Brasil will be OK. Let us see how this team develops over the next year before shoving Mano Menezes out the door. |
