Thanks spirit of joe for posting that, now we can try and figure out how to schedule our lives around these games!! :P

In the US, I'm so happy that all of the games will be on a ESPN station, every match in Spanish on ESPN Deportes, and in English on a combination of ESPN 2, ESPN Classic and an occasional one on ABC. It sure beats the PPV option for the most recent tournaments!

This week, my cable provider decided to make ESPN Classic pay-per-view. Pissed me off royally, and the explanation I got from the cable company wasn't exactly satisfactory.

Thought about going ahead and paying, but ESPN Classic is only carrying five games. So, I'll go cold turkey today and on three other games.

you could always order the Spanish language cable package shelsoccer and get ESPN Deportes who are covering every game.

For those without Tv coverage www.livescore.com lists the lineups and keeps a running mark of statistics (fouls, shots, cards, etc.).

Lesson for dealing with your cable company: If you don't like the answer you get at first, try again.

After being told Friday that my carrier had placed ESPN Classic on ppv, I called again today just before the US-Argentina game. "Glitch in the system," I was told. They pushed a button, and voila.

Even better, after lamenting missing Saturday's Euro openers because of this, ESPN2 replayed those games early Sunday morning. Caught that on the channel guide and recorded the games, though I haven't watched them yet.

So, everything is up to date in Kansas City.

livescore.com also has a running script commentary for those who can't watch the games and don't want to wait to get home to watch your replay!

I can't win for losing. Storm last night fried my DVR. So, I lost the games I recorded and will probably miss today's games unless the cable guy sets a world record for prompt service.

The saga continues.

Cable guy shows up pretty much on time. My wife and kids don't hear the door bell, so he leaves. I come home, find the note on the door and throw a fit, kicking the nearby furniture (no, not the kids or my wife; don't have a dog; cat died last year).

Apologies if my travails are getting boring. Just trying to vent. If this happens again in two years, I'm going to look for the nearest cliff.

Geez shel, what's that old expression, if it wasn't for bad luck, you'd have no luck at all?

Yet it still sounds as if you are finding ways to see the games, so to borrow another expression, where there is a will, there is a way!

Thanks for the sympathy, Merengue. Reverting to the old VCR for today's games. Hope it works. DVR should be fixed for tomorrow's games.
