Except for the n, Steeven. The adjective ending -y/-i simply becomes -osť when substantivised. -nosť is not a separate ending, it's just what happens when you substantivise an adjective on -ny. [čćч] |

I thought so. That is why I highlighted the "n". Thank you! |

Please consider 3 levels of "tests" for word formulation: 1. Logical, Analytical or Commonly Slavic 2. That it "makes sense" - to the people (not just the creators) - "will the people both accept & use it?" 3. Avoid "conflicts" www.MEDŽUSLOVJANSKI.com dict.INTERSLAVIC.com | |

If you add Ukrainian нарешті and Belarusian нарэшце, you might as well add Polish nareszcie and wreszcie. Also don't forget Bulgarian най-послe, and Serbo-Croatian naposlětku. Naposlědok is certainly not a bad solution in terms of votes, but I'd like to remind you that Poles are unlikely to understand it. Polish actualy does have the word poslědok ("pośladek"), meaning "buttock". Nakonec would probably be the most understandable solution, no? Konečny could work as well, but in Polish it means "necessary, inevitable". |
