Silence in motion. That was what this creature was as it moved through the empty forest. No..not empty. Filled with life, just not of the kind that most people would view as company. There were birds, squirrels, chipmunks, moles, and hundreds of insects above and under the ground. In fact, the forest was teeming with life and music, if one were willing to stop and listen. Yet most sentient life didn't. Most didn't have time now a days to stop and just take in what the earth was offering in the form of peace and relaxation. But today this land wouldn't go unnoticed. Without a true alpha ruling these lands, Gregori saw no problem with entering and enjoying. He was showing no allegiance to anyone by being here, for what made this currently unclaimed terra anything different than a large park? Now Gregori may have been relaxed, but he was no fool. Even if this land was uninhabited, he wasn't about to walk around in his other form, or openly show that he was the guardian of earth by moving it to his will. No, he only wished to appear as simply a wolf who was curious as to what the land here offered. Brilliant silver optics remained closed as he walked, listening to the animals and the earth. They would give warning should someone approach. Right now he only wished to enjoy a simple walk in the silence, away from the congested human city and strife among the wolf packs. |

Lost. That was a great word to describe what Aleksei was at the moment. Utterly and completely lost. Not that it was a bad thing per say but it would have been nice to know where he was, hopefully nowhere were there a pack because then he would be trespassing and that would not be good for him. But back to the task at hand. A multicolored snout raised from the green earth it was sniffing to take in the scents traveling on the air. Nothing seemed to be out of place here. There was no distinct smell of a pack, so maybe he was in luck today.Aleksei had unfortunately stumbled across other pack lands before and it was needless to say he always got into a lot of trouble but from the looks of it he was in the clear today. He had been wandering around for quit some time, exploring and discovering. Alek' had left home in Russia to get out on his own. I mean after all parents and siblings were a lot to handle at times. After his 21st birthday he decided that it was time to get out on his own, thus why he was here. He couldn't really remember all the places he had been and he wasn't really sure how long he was going to stay here but he was having fun at the moment. A small green cricket bounced it's way through the grass trying to hide and escape it's much larger and ferocious (yeah right) hunter. Butt in the air and his two front paws clawing at the helpless bug, Aleksei chased down his clever quarry."You shall not escape me now!" |

How beautiful nature was in its most natural state. How free and unconcerned it was of the future when it was left untouched by modern times. If one truly wanted a culture shock, all one had to do was come out here were it was 'empty' and isolated. It wasn't truly empty out here, but there was no 'sentient' being out here to shape or affect the land. It was sad how one could tell whether or not wolves were present in the land or not. And these so called 'animals' didn't even notice the effect their pack had on the land! Here the prey animals were free to run about, unafraid of being over hunted. Trees stood tall and proud. Everything was left unpolluted. Perhaps the evolved wolves needed a wake up call. They'd spent entirely too much time in human cities acting as humans, and effectively lost their roots. Whether in the end this 'adaptation' would prove to be a good or bad thing, Gregori did not know. Though it was easy to see that he wasn't exactly pleased with the way things were going. Gregori loved peace and quiet. The silence in nature allowed him to think. Why else would he be out here? But it would seem that the day was conspiring against him. He was first alerted to someone's presence by the softening of the birds. This was followed by the scent of another. Clearly wolf..yet it was different than the others that usually resided in this place. Interesting. Would this be the one who would claim this terra and change it from its natural state like all the others had? Curiosity got the better of him. He had first thought to leave. But he couldn't, he had to see this one..Remaining in his human form, Gregori used the vibrations in the earth to lead him to the stranger. Steeled silver optics didn't take long to find the intruder. Just what was he doing? Certainly not acting like an adult wolf would....was...was he chasing a...grasshopper? Amusement filled his his eyes as he watched the other. Oh fearsome hunter! "What tyrant you are! The poor cricket will never return to his family, and they'll starve. Have you no compassion?" Gregori's voice rang out clearly to alert the other to his presence. What should have sounded like a joking tone, simply sounded like everyday bored speech... OOC: Darn you!!! *shakes fist angrily* |

Muahahahahahaha so close. Aleksei was so close to catching the accursed grasshopper, it was right there. Only…a …few inches more. He would have pounced on his prey and shouted in victory had it not been for a voice penetrating his concentration. Instead of having the victory that was mere centimeters away, Aleksei quickly straightened turning to face the person that had interrupted him. He hadn’t recognized the voice; it had sounded strangely….mocking? Was this stranger that he had no idea who he was, mocking him?! Aleksei let his eyes roam over the stranger that had interrupted his fun. Obviously it was someone he hadn’t met before because he wasn’t really familiar with anyone in this area. Sitting up straighter he finally me the gaze of the other. This one was very strange indeed. He couldn’t quit put his finger on it but there was something off about this guy. Some, but not him, would call the stranger that stood before him tall, dark, and handsome. Aleksei on the other would probably describe him more like rude, stuck up, and snotty……Did some of those mean the same thing? Oh well, it was the truth, or at least that’s what Aleksei got from this guy’s emotionless voice. It was hard to tell if he was joking in a nice way or if he was being really mean and sarcastic. And come to think of it, where had this guy come from anyway? He had made sure to check that he was alone, there was no way he would have missed someone so close. Shaking his head slightly Aleksei put those thought’s in the back of his mind to be inspected upon later. Returning his attention to the stranger, he decided it would be best to take his human form as well. He didn’t really like talking to someone in his wolf form when they were in their human form. It was just one of his pet peeves, don’t ask him why. “Well I am an evil tyrant, didn’t you know? I go around chasing poor defenseless grasshoppers and hording them for my own personal grasshopper army. We plan to strike and take over the world next week” said Aleksei, trying his best to hide his accent, yet failing miserably. He had decided to give the stranger the benefit of the doubt and take it as he was joking. Aleksei tried to keep a straight face but that was failing miserably too as the grin broke out on his face and he started to chuckle at his own comment. |

Oh dear, the stranger managed to miss the grasshopper. The panic stricken little bug hopped for it's life away from the giant sized killer. He would live another day to jump, eat, and make grasshopper babies. Well that was until winter time, when most bugs would die or go into hiding anyway. But Gregori hadn't meant to distract the other at all from his 'cruel' game....yeah right. One had to wonder why Gregori would be so amused y doing something so silly as that. He had to have fun somehow...And oddly enough, that had been entertaining to him, and as a bonus he had someone to engage in conversation. Well, that was until one of them got angry or bored with the other and decided to leave.. Once again temptation came in the form of mind reading. Gregori had the ability to read the thoughts of mortals. He was sure most if not all guardians had this ability. Half the time Gregori didn't even realize that he was slipping into another person's mind until it was too late and he was already learning every good or dirty detail about them. But he was trying to be good, he didn't like to intrude on peoples personal information..they had it hidden in the deep corners of their brains for a reason..He'd resist, even if that thoughtful look on the loner male's face was just asking to have his thoughts read. Was the male thinking about him, or what he was going to do? No, trying to guess that the other was thinking was just going to make it worse for him.. Glad for the distraction that the other cause his mind by changing into his human form, Gregori couldn't help but look the other over. Tall, yet not as tall as he was. Muscles, yet hardly a body builder. Very bright green..blue..no..aqua..colored eyes. Short silver hair. Interesting. Gregori had only noticed two other wolves who had that hair color, and they were related to each other. This one, on the other hand, didn't smell like either. Once again he began to wonder just where the stranger hailed from. To Gregori the accent the other had tugged as his mind, laughed at him. He was certain in his home land he had head people speak with a similar accent, yet he couldn't place his finger on it. He received another chance to place the accent when Aleksei spoke once more. This was going to bug him until he figured it out! Or got the male to tell him what his origins were. Now taking the time to actually pay attention to what was said to him, for a brief moment laughter filled slightly softened silver orbs, until it escaped just as quickly as it came. His face had remained passive, the glint in his eyes the only bit of proof that Gregori had found what the stranger said funny. And he had found that outlandish statement quite funny. "Well, Mighty Tyrant. Just how would they help you do that? Hop on people to death? You'd have to have a lot of the little green menaces to accomplish that." Gregori stated, wondering if it were even possible for a swarm of grasshoppers to take someone out. Well, the little bugs could always just destroy crops..eh, he was putting far too much thought into this. "And heaven forbid someone should find bug spray. In one fell swoop your entire army would be gone.." It was sad how his voice lacked amusement, at least, most people thought it did. Yet it was there, one just had to listen just right for it. |

What….what was this? This stranger doubted the power of his mighty grasshopper army? How dare he, how dare this infidel question him and his mighty grasshopper controlling abilities. He would have this none believer crushed under the mighty weight of his ‘little green menaces’ as the other so delicately put it. Aleksei’s army would be great and massive and no one would be able to conquer him. He would sweep across the land and take over villages and towns and all the little people would run away screaming and yelling out their surrenders to the all mighty leader of this awesome grasshopper army and…..wait. Aleksei had to stop and look around; he was getting faaaar too carried away with this whole grasshopper thing. Good thing he hadn’t said it out loud, that would have been embarrassing. Oh, if only Gregori would have given into temptation, that would have been one mind he was reading. Tsk tsk, a grasshopper army, only crazy people think of those things. And crazy Aleksei was, he thought his idea was pretty awesome and funny. He still wasn’t sure about this newcomer though, it was so hard to tell if he was going along with the joke or if he was just plain out making fun of him. How was he supposed to tell with this guy being so emotionless in the face? Honestly, if he put on a pirate hat and did the chicken dance it probably wouldn’t affect this guy in the least bit. He could only stand there and stare at the stranger trying to figure out whether he was being friendly or just rude. Just as Aleksei was about to yell at the newcomer, something stopped him. The stranger had spoken up again and this time, if he listened just right, there a hint of amusement in his words. So this guy was joking with him. It was a good thing he realized because that would not have been a good thing to start a fight with this guy….he looked mean….and slightly bigger. Sure he could fight and hold his own, but he knew when he was outmatched. Luckily for him he hadn’t said anything. Shaking his head, he thought about the statement that was just spoken to him. Again he was back to thinking about his awesome grasshopper army. Bug spray huh? Oh crap, he hadn’t thought of that. Oh no! That would kill his beloved army! A sad, shocked looked came to Aleksei’s face as he came to this sad realization, that his awesome green army had a major downfall. “Oh no!.......well then….I’ll…make them super grasshoppers and they will be unaffected by these evil bug sprays and they will pounce on all that oppose us and then me and my awesome grasshopper army shall rule all!” he said, following it up with maniacal evil laughter. Which shortly after broke out into regular all out laughing at himself. He couldn’t believe he just said that out loud. Man, he hasn’t even told this guy his name yet, he could only imagine how crazy this guy thought he was. Trying to stifle his laughter, Aleksei figured it would be a good idea to introduce himself properly. “Hi, my name’s Aleksei” . Hopefully Gregori would be able to understand him with his accent and the fit of giggles all thrown in together. If not….oh well, he couldn’t help his accent, he was working on it though. Finally getting his laughing fit under control, Aleksei offered a friendly smile to the stranger, hopefully he had been right in thinking this person was friendly, or was at least being nice for the moment. |

If there was one label that Gregori could give himself, if he had to choose what part of his actions or personality was most prevalent, Gregori would call himself a people watcher. He did it every day, every hour he was in a pack land or any human city. It was second nature to him, and very likely it went hand in hand with him reading the minds of the people he watched. He couldn't help it, and if you asked he wouldn't be able to tell you when he began to watch people. He had always done it as far back as he could remember. If he had to take a guess, he would say that it was a part of being a guardian, or at least he thought so. He was supposed to watch over people, but since he had yet been approached by a pack, or anyone for that needed his help, all he could do was sit back and watch the day to day lives of wolves and humans. Maybe no one knew of the two guardians that now moved among them, and that was the reason he had yet been called upon. Perhaps he should make himself know to at least pack wolves? No, they should have known better, they were wolves. If they wanted his help, they would have to come to him to ask for it.. Alas, Gregori was getting off his train of thought. Oh yes! People watching. He did it all the time, and one thing he had to note was that this stranger was certainly different. Well different from the others he had watched from day to day. It was sad really how half the time humans and wolves just walked about the street hardly paying any attention to one another, their minds only focused on their significant other or their children. If they did even seem remotely interested in someone else, it was only a brief superficial reunion before they both hurried off on their way. It was only the children who genuinely cared about one another and ran off playing together, but even that was on the decline. But never in Gregori's life had he met someone so animated, so lively in his facial expressions. It was like watching someone try to show fifty different emotions for a photo-shoot. The silver haired one went from amusement, to shocked, to annoyed, to angry, back to shocked, then to full out hysteria with his laughter. Good Lord! Surely this one had to have been clinically insane to go through all of those emotions in the course of about two minutes. And oh could he just feel his mind being tempted to go into the other's, just to see and hear all of the thoughts going on in there. He was certain it would be just a jumbled mess, but he hadn't met anyone with a mind like that yet...well at least not a clearly happy person with a mind like that. Now off in his own thoughts, Gregori had almost neglected the physical world. Dark and almost swirling silver eyes glazed over with the look of thought, and it was only when the stranger had spoken for a second time did things click once more for Gregori to pay attention. Aleksei huh? Now he was more than certain that this stranger had come from a foreign land, closer to his original homeland. But wait, this Aleksei had said something earlier...about...Super Grasshoppers? Slowly Gregori's right eyebrow raised itself as he looked at the younger fellow. "Super Grasshoppers? Somehow I doubt that you would be able to make them super, seeing as you did not even think of one of their major weaknesses. You would likely forget in your mass hysteria. Also, what about boots, their other mortal enemy. A few stomps, and once more your army is gone...besides, it is not like they eat people, so how would you dominate them?" Gregori responded, his voice as calm as ever. Oh! And that was right! The other had given him his name. It was common courtesy to do the same. "I am Gregori." he allowed his dark voice to roll out in its more natural accent, his silver orbs locking onto the other intently. "I must ask you though, where do you hail from? I could hear a not very well hidden accent in your voice, and your name is clearly not a common one around here. It has gotten me a bit baffled, because I know where I come from I have heard that accent before, yet I cannot place it." Never once did his eyes leave the male as he spoke, even as his mind wondered back to the old country. |

Aleksei’s jaw almost dropped. Again. Again this stranger insisted upon downing his most awesome idea of a grasshopper army. How dare he. Of course he knew all of their weaknesses….well maybe he had forgotten one or two but hey who cares! It was still an awesome idea. This guy must not have been the happy creative kid in his class, no, he was probably more like the brooding I’m gunna stomp on your play dough castle because it structurally unsound type. What a kill joy. So what if he had forgotten a few minor detail’s in his battle plans, big deal. Super can mean all sorts of things, like being immune to boot’s and bug spray’s for instance, one only had to use their imagination, which this guy was obviously lacking. “Well If my grasshoppers are super, then that means that they would probably be too big to be stepped on and if they were big, they could crush people therefore bringing obedience through the power of fear” he said with a curt nod at the end to prove his point. He figured he might be going a little far with this grasshopper joke, but Aleksei just wasn’t one to be outdone. And if he said he could have a grasshopper army then darn it he was going to prove his point! In the midst of his grasshopper taking over the world thoughts, the other’s statement interrupted him. Gregori, so that was his name. It sounded like a name that came from the old country with the way he pronounced it. Hmmm, could it be possible that Gregori was a foreigner as well? It seemed that way with the way he was talking. Although he wouldn’t have to wonder about it long as Gregori answered his questions unknowingly. He had been about to ask Mr. tall dark and broody where he was from when the other did exactly that. Where did he hail from? Is that the wording that this guy had just used? It would seem that Aleksei had been right in thinking that Gregori was not from around here, seeing as how the man had just made references to where he came from. Was he really sure he wanted to tell this guy where he came from? He had already made the mistake of telling him his real name. Aleksei never told anyone his real name; darn those grasshoppers distracting him and making him slip up. He looked at Gregori and gave him another once over with his aqua orbs, hmmm….maybe he should ask a few questions himself first. “Well, where are you from? And what brought you here?” Maybe if he could get a few answers first he would be more comfortable in giving answers himself. It was silent for a moment as Aleksei waited for Gregori to answer…….then…”Hey! Did you just say my accent was not very well hidden?!” |

Okay, Gregori was truly beginning to think that the one before him really was crazy. He looked down right offended that Gregori had dared poke holes in his little plot to take over the world. Aleksei hadn't truly planned to do this had he? Especially not with grasshoppers of all things! Yet the glare he was receiving was something that said that the foreigner hated it when someone else rained on their parade. Gregori had to hold in the laughter he felt trying oh so hard to break out. Why did the smaller wolf get so offended over such a silly thing that wasn't serious? A playful glint began to shine in Gregori's silver eyes, something that was rarely there. "Somehow I seriously doubt you have the ability to make super grasshoppers. That would involve a very high IQ, as well as workers willing to help you in the very large laboratory you would need to make them. Along with that, I would have to question how you would plan on controlling your grasshoppers." Gregori responded, he would drop this topic when the other did. He was having entirely too much fun pointing out all of the things wrong with the younger one's plan. And maybe he was finding it a little too funny to make the other so mad, but he so rarely had the chance to, so why not? He needed amusement every now and then did he not? Alas, the conversation went to a more serious note, though how serious the other male could truly be was something to question. If Gregori had to guess, the other may have been able to sound serious, but he doubted that the silver haired one could be unless the situation truly called for it. And not so unexpectedly Aleksei answered his question with another one. Why wasn't he surprised by the fact that the other hadn't exactly answered right off the bat? Who knows, he just figured the male wouldn't unless he gave his response first. Perhaps the male didn't want others to know that he wasn't from around here, trying to blend in for some reason or another. Aleksei needed some more practice in that area then. A cool smirk finally found its way onto Gregori's lips at the younger male's last statement. "Yes I did. Wherever you are from, it has engrained an accent deep into you; perhaps with more practice you will be able to hide it better." Gregori responded, still trying to place where the other could be from. "I hail from the Carpathian Mountains." He responded finally. He may have been a guardian for the areas around here now, but he had been born in the old country quite a long time ago. And that wasn't something he was about to tell any time soon. |

Oh, Gregori was really going to try and push his buttons wasn’t he? The other just couldn’t let his little grasshopper army go, could he? No, instead the taller male insisted on making him angry. His grasshopper army was an excellent idea, though flawed as it may be. Gregori was such a kill joy, but he wouldn’t let the other rain on his parade, oh no, he was going to give this smarty pants a run for his money. So maybe he was taking this all a bit too far, but darn it he hated to be outdone and Gregori looked like he was the sort of person that just loved to tease. Shifting his feet slightly, Aleksei lifted his arms and crossed them over his chest as he listened more and more to what Gregori was saying. And afterwards there was a small silence because he was half in shock. How did this kill joy manage to find more wholes in his plan, and insult his intelligence all in one breath?! A huff escaped him as he playfully glared at the tall brooder. Two could play at this game. ”Well then your doubt is foolishly placed my friend, because I am well prepared for the making of my super grasshopper army. As I have said before I am an evil tyrant, and in being such I have built up quit the evil empire, scientist and labs included. Now as for controlling my little friends I will just have to go visit my technological engineers and have them make a mind control chip to place in each one of them.” Take that mister smarty pants. A happy, victorious smirk crept onto Aleksei’s face. He would like to see mister tall, dark, and snooty come up with a response to that one. Although his victory was short lived as he realized that there was another statement. So Gregori was from the Carpathian Mountains huh? That was interesting. If his memory served him correctly, then the Carpathian Mountains weren’t that far from where he came from. The smirk that had been on his face slipped into a happy smile, it was nice to have someone else be from the same corner of the world as he was. It gave him someone to relate to, and who knows…maybe Gregori would even be his friend and help him with his accent, which apparently he wasn’t good at hiding. But, one thing at a time, he was getting waaay ahead of himself. Giving a soft sigh, Aleksei decided to that it wouldn’t hurt to tell a little about where he was from. ”I guess my accent hiding skills could use a little work, I didn’t even realize that it was so obvious. I’m from Russia. The land of snow.” came his proud response. Even though he did want people to realize where he was from, he was still very proud of his native land. Russia was an amazing and beautiful place; there was nowhere else in the world like it. You might ask that if it was so great why did he leave? Aleksei would always have a special place in his heart for his homeland but he also loved to travel, so he had to make a choice and he doesn’t regret a second of it. Well….at least not until he’s hungry or get’s lost. (lol) |

And just when Gregori thought he was out of the woods with the whole grasshopper army argument, the other pulled him right back in. Would this whole disagreement never end? The thought of this was very likely, because it seemed that neither wished for the other to win the argument. Or rather, neither of them would allow the other to win it. How funny that these two grown ups were fussing like children over the most ridiculous topic, and yet they could both act so serious about it, like this was something truly worthwhile to continue even thinking about. Yet, that was how grownups were at times, arguing about the most trivial things. And Hey, why should Gregori stop the argument? He was having such fun clearly annoying the smaller silver haired man. And at the words of Aleksei, clear laughter could be seen flourishing in Gregori's silver optics. Did his aqua eyed companion truly think that his words had saved his argument. Oh no, they had not, and Gregori would have to do his duty and inform the other of the flaws still riddled in his plan. "I would not smirk triumphantly so quickly my friend." Gregori began, his eyes now cool and calculating, he knew just what to say. "For starters, you would need a lot of money to accomplish this. Judging from your appearance you are not rich, and you certainly have not done too many days of hard labor to earn the amount of money you would need to fund your endeavors." Gregori stated, a little harsh, but he wasn't one to lose an argument. "Secondly I said you would need scientist and laborers willing to work with you and your ridiculous idea, because you certainly would not be able to pay them with your lack of funding." Gregori continued, and now for the finishing touch. "And lastly, you would have to do all of these things without gaining the attention of the rest of the world. Something that I think you would have a very hard time doing." Gregori finally stopped. Would the other force him to continue on with more reasons as to why his army would not work? Hmm, only time would tell. And little did Aleksei realize that his place of origins would give Gregori more fuel to burn his idea to the ground. Yet one had to wonder why Gregori was so against this idea, for even Gregori would not be able to tell you anything past hi mjust having fun. Distraction for the much older male came in the form of Aleksei finally revealing where he came from. Instantly it clicked in Gregori's mind and he cursed himself for not realizing this fact earlier. Russia! He should have been able to guess that from the man's accent and name, yet it had constantly remained on the tip of his tongue. With a nod, and an inner sense of rest, Gregori looked down to the other. "I should have guessed that, I have been to Russia in my travels...I enjoyed the architecture there, as well as the dancing." Gregori stated lightly, his ears hearing the quite clear proudness that Aleksei's voice held for his home country. "With more practice I am certain you will be able to hide your accent better, though why you would wish to do such is beyond me." It was Aleksei's choice to do such, but Gregori had to wonder why if the silver haired one was so proud of where he came from. "Though I must ask what brought you here?" Gregori questioned lightly. |

Ok, this was getting out of hand. He was not about to lose to Gregori, and it was obvious that Gregori was not going to back down from the argument. So where did that leave them? I’ll tell you, in a grasshopper army battle! Aleksei had been willing to drop the subject had Gregori only let it go, it was obvious that he was going to win, so why try to poke holes in his plan? Hadn’t Mr. tall, dark, teasing learned his lesson yet? Obviously not because they were still arguing about the whole thing. That was alright though because he could take anything that Gregori could throw at him. That butt. So now he was trying to say that he didn’t have the financial back up that he needed. Crap, he hadn’t thought of that either. Not a problem, he could come back to that easily….he hoped. Seconds ticked by as Aleksei thought of a witty comeback. How was he going to fill the holes of his financial back up?.....Ah hah! Having that same triumphant smirk reappear on his face, Aleksei took a step farther by walking up to the slightly taller male. Almost standing toe to toe with him and lifting his head to meet the others gaze. ”Well, being an evil tyrant and having an evil empire has it’s hidden perks. Obviously if I’m planning something this big I wouldn’t want people to know who I am, that would just give everything away. And also, since I do have an evil empire I obviously have the funds to pay for all of my stuff, for one cannot have an empire without some portion of wealth. My outward look is to throw foolish people such as yourself off my track.” The same playful glint that was in Gregori’s eyes was now matched in his own aqua orbs. The silver eyed man wasn’t the only one with a little mean streak; he hoped Gregori wouldn’t take it personally. Which he was sure he wouldn’t, they both knew they were trying to outdo the other. Was there a pattern starting here? Each one of their responses started off with the argument of the grasshopper army and then ended on a more personal note when they talked about their origins. Aleksei couldn’t help the slightly surprised look he had on his face as Gregori spoke and said that he had traveled to Russia. So he had been to his home land? The happy smile once again returned to his face. ”You vent to Russia? For vuat?” he couldn’t help but ask and as he did so he completely slipped back into his Russian accent. He was curious what Gregori had been doing in Russia, sightseeing maybe? The other looked like he was the type to sight see, and there was certainly enough things to see in his country, as Gregori had already pointed out. Then came the question he knew was coming; what brought him here? How to answer that question? Did he really want to answer that question? Aleksei glanced off to the side; it was obvious he was having an inner debate with himself. Well, it wouldn’t hurt anything right? He had already revealed a little about himself and nothing bad had happened, what was he so afraid of? ”I just wanted to travel and see what else was out here. I love Russia, but I love to travel too so I just made the decision to go wherever my feet would take me. That’s how I ended up here.” he said smiling up at the taller male. He didn’t want Gregori to get him wrong. It wasn’t like he hated his home town, he just needed….to get away. Was it strange if he said that there was something that compelled him to leave Russia? He wasn’t going to tell Gregori that, it would just make him sound crazy. |

For a brief second Gregori had to step back and applaud himself self. Throughout this entire silly mock argument he hadn't gone into the others' mind to see what he was thinking and stop him from thinking it or cut him off with something else to stop that portion of the argument. Maybe that was because Gregori was enjoying this silly little tiff they were having. Maybe Gregori liked pushing the buttons of the younger male in front of him. He certainly couldn't deny the fact that a smirk was trying to hard to push itself out onto Gregori's lips. Oh, he could feel it, but he would deny it its' rightful place on his face for now, because he wasn't finished with the argument. And for some reason Gregori got the feeling that they would be continuing this argument far past this day. Which was something in itself, because that meant that Gregori wanted or would see this person past this date. Which wasn't something usually thought about let alone planned to happen. Sure, he continued to people watch, but he doubted he really spent that much time among mortals..and he certainly didn't speak to them in full blown conversation..let alone got into whatever this was that he was having with Aleksei. Oh! That was right! Back to the grasshoppers..Gregori couldn't help the look that grew onto his face at Aleksei's words. The answer he had received from him was such a cop-out. Anyone could come up with those general responses about anything. He needed facts and figures, something that Aleksei clearly lacked. But did that mean Gregori was out and finished in this little argument? By all means No! "If this is all so, then tell me why you would go through all of this trouble to keep your empire secret, only to tell me your entire plan and how it works. What makes you think that I am not some sort of reporter, or even a secret agent who has just gotten you to tell me all about yourself so that I may foil your plan. What would you do about that?" Gregori responded, a sense of smug filling him for a brief moment as he looked to the male. "And I believe that even if what I just said was not true, I will still have to come back to this argument with you later, when I have a calculator and a piece of paper to show you all of the flaws in you financial plan and the rest of your argument." Did Aleksei truly think that the words he had spoken only moments before Gregori had truly finished the argument? No, not even Gregori would get his hopes up that they were truly done with this silly argument. Now, back to the much more sane part of their conversation. Ah yes Russia. Gregori could feel a smile twitching at the edges of his lips at the sudden even more prominent accent that graced the silver haired one. Had he noticed his slip? It would seem that he had more in common with this mortal than he had expected, for his own response was quite similar. "I was traveling through the old country to learn more about it and myself..Though I must admit I probably spent the most time in Russia..it is so large and there are so many things to see..." Gregori sighed, and for a moment he felt home sick. Not wanting to dwell on those feelings for too long, his attention returned to the small male with him. "You should be careful around these parts. There are many hazardous things here to watch out for, from both human and wolves alike." Gregori stated, their conversation taking an even more serious tone. "It is all the more dangerous for you being alone." |
