:))) Hello SNRA racers.
While Hurricane Irma may not make landfall at Sumpter, South Carolina, it may, and Sumpter will be heavily affected by the storm either way. It issure the speedway would be turned into a quagmire and would cause unsafe conditions for the teams and fans by Saturday night.

Other famous speedways in the area are also likely to be hit, from Alabama up through to Kentucky and out to the Atlantic Ocean or are not in condition to operate due to the lingering effects of Hurricane Harvey.

The closest speedway with an opening for Saturday night that has not been or will not be effected by weather that we could find is Shady Bowl Speedway, a track with some history that has often hosted ARCA and many classes weekly in DeGraff, Ohio. The management has also agreed to donate all its admissions to the Salvation Army for relief efforts as needed on the Southern and Eastern Atlantic coast, or for the flood victims of Harvey in Texas.

So, as you head away from the weather or live in unaffected areas, head for south central Ohio for an important night at Shady Bowl Speedway, a high banked 3/10 mile asphalt oval, long operated in Degroff, Ohio, for the Royston-Hodges Memorial 100. And our prayers go out for all people in harms way and those already affected by Harvey and Irma. PGUP

Yeah, high banked, paved 1/3, should be right in the ol' wheelhouse Wisdonm! :))) I was thinking about Eldora too. By the looks of this thing we would just be running fans into the danger zone after the race unless we went as far as Ohio, and other more southern locales were effected by Harvey too much. Plus, Mr. Stewart was not excited about making arrangements and grooming the track at the last minute, particularly on Richmond weekend, but I wonder about that too. Anyway, Shady Bowl was happy to have us! :)))
