Welcome ladies, gentlemen, kids of all ages crews, and drivers to the Race #10 of the SNRA 2017 Southern Fryed Drag Tour here at the House of Hook Challenge at Carolina Dragway in Jackson, South Carolina. The major story this week has been the beautiful weather for the past few days. It's almost 90 degrees and dry. We drew for pairings tonight, just like we did in Race #5.

We're glad everyone returned after the bye week. The Historic Racing Associates are on a tear, winning the last three events, and reining 2016 Southern Fryed Drag Tour champion, L. Edward "ET" Foot, winning two of the last three events. Otto is, once again, in sole possession of the points lead, with Kevin only one point behind, and Speed, another point behind. The season is three quarters complete and no one has been mathematically eliminated yet.

Let's bring out our first pairing. Drawing first seed is our hottest driver, at the moment, winner of Races #6 and #9, reining 2016 Southern Fryed Drag Tour champion, L. Edward "ET" Foot. "ET" is driving the 392 Cu. In. Dodge Hemi powered "Tin Box" B/Fuel Competition Coupe, for the Historic Racing Associates.

VS

This year’s hard luck driver, Barry Kuta. Barry is driving the beautiful SVO Mustang II Trubo powered by 2,300cc's. Prepped by DIRT and sponsored by the Durango BBQ and grill and Jameson Irish Whiskey.

Barry is still looking for that elusive first win of 2017. Both drivers do massive burnouts and stage. Barry charges off with a 3.5 second lead. "ET" lights 'em up and runs the Stang down in time. "ET" is going into Round 2.

Has a checkered past.

Stand on it....brakes only slow yoou down.

After their burnouts, both drivers stage. Otto roars off with a .9 second lead. Speed charges after him, but is unable to pass him in time. Otto wins and will be in Round 2.

This brings up our final pair of Round 1. The winner of Race #1 Dirttrack Dave. Dave will be driving his 1972 Nova SS-Pro stock powered by a 454 big block for DTD Motorsports and sponsored by Valvoline Oil, called Old Poo.

VS

Winner of Race #4, Kevin Sassman. Kevin driving his Dodge Red Ram hemi powered Fiat Topolino prepped by the Uncle Verde race team and sponsored by Hellion Speed Equipment.

The drivers prep their tires and stage. Dave thunders off with a 3.2 second head start. Kevin waits patiently, pops the front wheels and runs him down. Kevin will be the last to move into Round 2.

This concludes round 1. Come back after our short break for round 2.

Has a checkered past.

Stand on it....brakes only slow yoou down.

Welcome back ladies, gentlemen, kids of all ages crews, and drivers to Round 2 of Race #10 of the SNRA 2017 Southern Fryed Drag Tour here at the House of Hook Challenge at Carolina Dragway in Jackson, South Carolina. It's a beautiful warm evening.

So let's not waste any time and start Round 2. We're going to start off with Our two hottest drivers "ET" in the Tin Box VS Otto in the "what The----Altered" in a heads up race.

Both drivers do a burnout and stage. Both drivers charge off, but "ET" hits too hard and gets immediate wheel shake and backs off. Otto will move to Round 2.

This brings up Kevin for a single car pass. He preps and stages. Kevin pulls a massive wheely and when he comes down he is searching the limits of traction through the 1,000 foot marker. Kevin will also be in the final-round.

That concludes our exciting semi-final round. We will be crowning our House of Hook Challenge champion, after a short break.

Has a checkered past.

Stand on it....brakes only slow yoou down.

another good race weekend.good run kevin, even Otto said he' s proud of ya!
He's thinking of a complete rebuild and fancy dancey paint if he runs her next season. But is afraid it will lose junk yard dog charm and great running.
What do ya think?leave alone?rebuild? or just go with new hotrod being built? He never could make choices!
Again congrats to all,see you next week!

Thanks Dave, the old Topolino was cooking tonight. It's good to have things going well this late in the season, hope we can hang on to the points a little longer.

Tell Otto to just slap a couple of STP stickers on the old beast and it will be ready for next year. :)))
