This is a replica build of the 1959-60 McClure Motor Company Ford driven by the late Frankie Thompson. They towed the race car, from the Ford dealership in Troy,Pa.to the Port Royal speedway every Saturday night during the racing season. During this time period many cars were towed to the track with wreckers, trailers came later for most teams.

This is the 1961 number 15 below.Things were changing fast during this time period. Check the engine setback from the 60 to the 61 model.

Dave,

The white car pictured above was run in 1962 and early 1963. It was sold to Brian Osgood. He painted it yellow and ran it for a short time as the 09. I don't know what happened to it after Osgood.

The car you are referring to is not the same car.

Hi Bob,

Those are nicely done! Can you share how you are making your wheels and center hubs. Hubs look scratch-built.

Thanks,
Skeeter

Skeeter,

The wheels and tires on both cars, are from Big Donkey resin.
They are a one piece wheel.

The tires and wheels on my number 17, you commented on, are also from the same resin supplier.
