Those who read dirt track Dave's post here, my loss, which I just had little time and, a hard time telling you all about is that my introduction to stock car racing, my role model, my father, and my friend, Fred Bayer, passed away on October 30. He served us as a police officer and administrator for over 40 years, was the worlds greatest at those jobs and was an avid Stock Car Racing fan who introduced me to the sport and this hobby. I miss him terribly but his memory is also so inspiring.

The happy news is it appears the commitments to enter the SNRA again this year for our long awaited nostaligic series is growing and enough that I can't say no to building a car, maybe in my dad's honor (64 Dodge or Plymouth), and running the series again for all of you! :))) At least I hope its good news. Its something different and should be a blast. Thank you all.

My condolences to you and your family Dave, I know you will always have those great memories of you and your father forever. Those happy times are always a great comfort after losing a loved one.

And yes it is very good news that the response to this seasons nostalgic class is generating such interest. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's entries. It should be a lot of fun.

I'd like to suggest that we call this seasons series The Fred Bayer Nostalgia Series presented by SNRA. Anybody else on board with that?
