Welcome ladies, gentlemen, kids of all ages crews, and drivers to 4th round of the SNRA 2016 Southern Fryed Drag Tour here at the Alamo Runoffs at San Antonio Raceway in Marion, Texas. One of the major story's this week has been the weather. It's perfect and about 25 degrees warmer than last year. Should be in the id 60's all night, after hitting the high 70's this afternoon.

We do have another new entry this evening. Let's all give a big round of applause for Emily Cudahy and her 1968 Dodge Dart GTS.

So let's get tonight's show going. Our first pair will be the 2013 SFDT champion and tonight's fast qualifier wisdonm VS the 2016 SFDT points leader and the winner of the season's first two races, L. Edward "ET" Foot.

Wisdonm in his red and blue Ferrari F-40 BIPOLAR. This car has a massive twin turboed 820 cubic inch Ford hemi.

Posted Image

"ET" is driving the gorgeous front engine dragster Dynamic Performance Special for the Historic Racing Associates team.

Posted Image

Both drivers do massive burn outs and stage. "ET" roars away with a three quarter second advantage. Wisdonm gingerly feeds power to the turbos and charges after him. Wisdonm wins by 0.002 seconds and is the first to move into Round 2.

Has a checkered past.

Stand on it....brakes only slow yoou down.

Ruth is driving her Potvin-blown, 300CID powered '32 Bantam Altered.

Both drivers go through their prep and stage. Ruth roars away with a 1.40 second lead. Dave waist patiently the drops the hammer, getting all four tires to spin before hooking up. Dave is unable to catch Ruth in time. Ruth takes the win and will move into Round 2.

Our next pair are approaching the staging area, Kevin Sassman VS newcomer, Emily Cudahy.

Kevin is driving his 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Funny Car for the Uncle Verde racing team.

Posted Image

Emily is driving an ex-Landy Automotive Research, 440 powered, 1968 Dodge Dart GTS for her grandmother Agnus Cudahy.

The drivers do warm their tires and stage. Emily thunders away with a 2.55 second advantage. Kevin waits for what seems like forever. He then charges after Emily. Kevin reels her in and is able to beat her by a nose. Kevin will be in Round 2.
