This is a project that I wanted to do for many years. Now with the coming of the Raptor kit, I am motivated to give it a try. It will be a Trophy Truck baja style with a completely fabricated chassis and suspension...sometime I think I'm loosing it...

Here it is, I have already work on it for a week so there is many pictures.

I found an engine that will fit perfectly. A Ford Nascar engine in 1/24 from Revell. Realise I'll have to finish the floor paneling first...I'm having great fun, hope it keeps going this way...LOL

Today's progress. I made some racing seats...and some support for the engine. Going slow but steady and fun...

Still working on my Trophy Truck. Did some progress. I finished the frame, it seems there is always a missing bar each time I look at it...Did some paneling for the interior, the 2 dash boards, the firewall, the trans covers and the seat supports. I also painted the frame to imitate raw steel with welding marks, it was my first time and I'll have to improve my technique.

I also realised that the Raptors wheels from the kit were quite similar to the photos I have, so I diceded to use them. I modified them to make wheels with a positive offset. That's it for now.Hope you like...

Got some start on the suspensions, first I got to build a differential. Started on the rear suspension arms.

Installed some electronic displays on the 2 dashboards...
