Hello folks. My name is Bryan Whitson, and I have been a sporadic modeler since age 7, back when models were roughly $6 each. I have been away for a while, but am wanting to get back into the hobby as an outlet. As my name implies, I am a funeral director by trade, and model building has always been a stress reliever to me. I am born, raised and still live in Western North Carolina, and was heavily influenced by the drivers from the New Asheville Speedway, Hickory Motor Speedway, and Tri-County Speedway. I attended my first short track at about the same age as I began building models, and have been hooked ever since. I am mainly interested in building dioramas. I guess I'm what you call a reformed model railroader; I have no room to build a credible layout, so I am reverting back to my roots. I look forward to being a part of the group, and look forward to sharing my accomplishments here. I know the intro said not to be intimidated, but, man....I've got a lot of refining to do to get my stuff up to par with you guys! Everything I have seen on here has been awesome...I only hope I can add to the growth! Thanks, y'all! 1hrr

fbr Alrighty, another Tarheel. Welcome to the forum. I used to watch Jack Ingram, Ned Setzer, the Tranthams, and so many others tearing up Hickory Speedway in the mid 60's. Intimidation is not part of this forum; if whatever you build satisfies you, then it is fine with the rest of us.
I build models because GOD allows me to and because I can't afford the real thing!!
