Would it be with in the rules to move the middle frame rails (between the front and rear stub) inboard, both an equal distance so as not to create an offset frame nor create a ladder frame (i.e '55 Chevy, '55 Ford as examples) . The distance would be 3 mm. both sides...it would still fall within the description of a perimeter frame. The reason for the clarification is that I am using a 1:25 scale smaller body ('80's Mustang) on a 1:24 Mongram frame (used with early 80's NASCAR Thunderbirds) and to get the body, cage ,etc. to fit up properly I need the middle portion of the frame to be narrower. I have already flat sided the body (rocker panels/lower 1/2 of the doors) and still need 3 mm. on each side to keep the body/cage centered on the frame. |

Go ahead Brian. That is still a full perimeter frame, just adjusted the same side to side, front and back, to fit under the body. Similar to the widespread use of Galaxie frames under Mustang bodies in the 60's early 70's for instance, had to be narrowed and shortened. There was one like that in Circle Track about a year or 1 1/2 years ago that had been restored. for the inquiry.Dave |
