![]() SNRA Lucky #13 is in the Books from devils Bowl A change in Luck for JLog! Lone Star Miller 150, devil's Bowl Speedway, Mesquite, Tex. 1/2 mile high banked clay oval. Due to training camp here, the race report will be a bit truncated. Man it was hot! But everyone kept hydrated and a gal who's been a winner but has had really bad luck this year, JLog Loggins with husband Spud at the wrenches anticipated the dry slick conditions. She claimed the victory after a thrilling side by side duel with Lee Spud Loggins from laps 135 to 145 when she took the lead for good. Porky Henley did just sneak his car under Spud at the line to take second. The top 5 was rounded out by Gordy Miller with point leader Mark W9 Desjardins in 5th. Fast time went to Spud on the night as well. ![]() A good night for Spud. ![]() Jennifer JLog Loggins back on the winning track. ....Congratulations to JLog Loggins with your win at the "bowl" That track fooled a lot of drivers....track prep did a great job and the moisture stayed in the track for time trials BUT, long about 15-20 laps into the feature I started to notice the top side was going away where I was trying to run...tried to move down the track but the car just would not work on the low side so I started backing up...I would have been better off running a smaller, less horsepower engine than what I did. The ruts that developed up in 3 & 4 just past the 1/2 way mark took its toll on some equipment and we where no exception. Amy's car lost a rear coil spring some where up there and she went from running towards the front to dropping out...at least the fire crew went out on the Yellow and retrieved it for her which was a nice gesture on their part.
