She watches when she takes my hand to make sure she has the right one.
I made a BAD mistake today at lunch, we went to the mall and I reached over my drink and nailed the incision area with the straw!!! Talk about major ouch!!!!

John that is a real beauty. Looks like many of the old warhorses from days gone by. Tell me your secret for getting such beautiful smooth paint jobs with a brush.
I build models because GOD allows me to and because I can't afford the real thing!!

Thanks, Rick. I am glad you like it.

I don't know that I have a secret with the brush paints. I just seem to be a klutz with a rattle can. I think I put that on too thick too quickly.

I get more gloss with a brush. I have a small brush that I really like for that application, and when it wears out, I have no idea where I could find another one like it. It is beginning to curve, so that time might be approaching now. Have no idea where it came from.

I'll try to put a close up of it on here soon. Made by Atlas Brush Company, in China. ( Of course. ) Red color, No. 32. I only use it on the bodies.

I have gone to brushing, because of the gloss, but mainly because I have developed a chemical sensitivity in my old age. Many, many chemical odors give me a headache. I cannot stay in the washing detergent aisle of the grocery store but a minute or so.

I use Testor's and Model Master acrylic ( water based ) paints. I try to make all my brush strokes in one direction. And I try to make as few strokes as possible. Sort of lay it on, and not brush it in. I learned to do that in 20 years of watercolor painting, and evidently it has carried over to the models.

But, I still have to tell you, that up close, you can tell they are brush painted. At this point in life, I don't really care. The photography goes a long way to hide most of it.

Rick, I will be posting another Ford soon. I hope you will like it too.

John, you just keep pumping out neat stuff and your brush painting is just killer. I can brush paint the small stuff but to brush paint a body? I just don't have the hand for that. Second, I have never had any kind of luck with the acrylics either. What ever it is that you are doing keep doing it because it works! Good job and keep showing us more. wnw
Ordinarily I am insane, but I do have lucid moments where I am merely stupid.
ANY problem race car can be cured with a pound of C 4, Detonator and a 12 volt battery.
Your drivers attitude will improve if you have the correct load in your Mossberg.

Drop them a line and ask them for a retailer near you.
