Lefty here from Gohard Racing in Podunkville with a news release. We have been notified by our main sponsor, E. R. Bechtolsheim and Curt Brennecke that Curt will not be able to fulfill his commitment for the season with the SNRA Late Model Series. Curt has accepted a position with Cobra Automotive Inc. in Wallingford Conn. and will on select occasions be co-driver to Curt Vogt, Chuck Bentley and Gary Moore at Sebring, Road Atlanta and Watkins Glenn. We hate to lose Curt but we will release him as we do not wish to see him miss an opportunity such as this. We wish him the best of luck. Gohard will retain the main sponsors but at this time we have not named a replacement driver. We ask the SNRA Racing Commision to advise us on the next step as to stay within the rules. Good luck Curt, we will miss you.

Well, congratulations to Curt I guess, though we are sorry to lose him. sm2
The procedure, Lefty, is simply, insert a new driver. Points go with the driver, so you're new driver will be starting from scratch, but in a 20 race season, that can still work out for your team! :)))
Let me know before the next race, here or in a pm and I can edit the entry list and your entry accordingly. The driver needs to be an actual human person that you know (though that is not necessary for crews or crew chiefs and there have been many through the years such as Peachy the Parrot and Al E. Gater) so that we have somebody to send the championship certificate to. You your own self would be fine but if you'd like someone else, that is ok. And it can be a little kid too.

Charginchuck, to tell you the truth, If I had a choice like Curt to stay with Gohard Racing or go to Cobra Automotive Inc., I would have left a month ago. As things are right now, with the strong recommendations of Curt, our part time crew member Terry Beckham Jr. will step out of his USRA Modified and help us with driving duties in the SNRA Late Model Series. Terry will place a backup driver in his modified on nights the SNRA and the USRA have the same dates so he will be a busy driver this season. Terry is from Webb City Mo.

Okey Doke, Lefty. I'll make the necessary changes! Though you do realize, that since it can be, the SNRA series is the premier racing series in the world! r:r We did race on the "resurrected" old road course in Augusta, Ga. a few years ago, but it was a long race and not quite in keeping with the Saturday night flavor we try to cultivate. But we'll never get rid of the Milwaukee Mile!
