Welcome ladies, gentlemen, kids of all ages, crews, and drivers to 11th round of the SNRA 2015 Southern Fryed Drag Tour here at the Southern Fried Nationals at Rockingham Dragway in Rockingham, North Carolina. It's been a wet last couple of days, but the radar say we're in a hole in the clouds for a few hours, although the track has some damp spots off line. Let's hope it holds until we're done. The temps are in the mid 60’s and falling. We’ve had ten different winners in the first ten events. It’s been a close fought battle with Speed holding a 7 point lead over Kevin, with Mick another point behind. The good news is that at this point, with four events to go, no one, who has run all season, has been mathematically eliminated from winning the season championship.

So let's not waste any of this dry period and start racing.

First up is tonight's fast qualifier, Dave "Chargin Charlie" Bayer, making a single car pass in his Rodger RamJet an updated 1965 Dodge Coronet Max Wedge Super Stock, prepped by Titus Lafontaine and sponsored by Raygo Dodge, Bayer Signs, AMB Racing.

Posted Image

Dave does a lengthy warm up and stages. He charges off with the rear end sliding to the right. Charging Charlie gathers it up and is searching for traction the whole length of the track. Charging Charlie will be in round 2.

Has a checkered past.

Stand on it....brakes only slow yoou down.

Correction ****** Correction

Dannyboy is the winner of Southern Fried Nationals

'
I apologize for incorrectly announcing Art as wining tonight's event, when he was not even in the final round.

I hope Dannyboy "MrChevyblack" Lynch, Art Valenti, and their teams will forgive me for making this terrible mistake.

Once again Dannyboy is the winner of tonight's Southern Fried Nationals.

Danny? Danny who? I thought the guy in the red and black Nova won it? Who ever was in that last pic in the last post, YOU BE UGLY!
Ordinarily I am insane, but I do have lucid moments where I am merely stupid.
ANY problem race car can be cured with a pound of C 4, Detonator and a 12 volt battery.
Your drivers attitude will improve if you have the correct load in your Mossberg.
