This is truthfully not the third modified, but the 2 1/2. It is another body over the chassis for the XX car, and uses the same hood. It is the '36 Plymouth. Since I made the 2 car body, I had an extra, and I love to try to paint and letter, so I used this body also.

The sponsor here is 'Nooga Motel and Café in Tennessee, and is hand lettered. The number 48 is a decal, which I painted over. The driver is Buck Baker -- not the one you are thinking of.

As you have learned by now, none of these 3 are replicas but only things I made up as I went along. I hope you like all three of them.

:))) I guess retirement must be setting well with you. Three modifieds, and I haven't even finished the box-stock build I started over four months ago. Another beautiful build and fantastic hand lettering.
Hoping your Easter is blessed.
I build models because GOD allows me to and because I can't afford the real thing!!

Nice, and the fun you're having is infectious! Love the "personal touch" of the hand lettered sponsor, too.
Keep on buildin'

Thanks to all of you. Yes, fun is what it is all about. We should all do what we enjoy in modeling.
