Hello all! afs
Here is your official entry thread for the Saturday Night Racing Association 2015 Late Model Tour.

As always, post at least 2 but not more than 4 pictures of your car or cars along with the following information:

A. Year make and model of body work
B. Cu. In. displacement of engine and "engine builder" as well as any other interesting information.
C. Chassis design and manufacturer or homebuilt, etc.
C.a. Historical information about the car if any.
D. Drivers name and hometown.
D.a. History on driver if any, ie. past championships, etc.
E. Owner and hometown along with any team information.
F. Crew Chief name and history if any.
G. Names of crew members.
H. Names of sponsors.

If you are entering two cars for one driver, you must place a separate entry for each car even though the driver can only drive one car per race obviously, and designate if the car is the short track car or dirt car, or the long track or pavement car, etc.
Your posting here does two things therefore, it officially registers the car for the 2015 SNRA tour, and serves as your official team entry into the series. That's all you have to do!

OK Guys, I'll start. Gohard Racing in Podunkville USA is happy to announce it will field two cars this year in the series. First is our 62 Chevy II Nova for the bull rings and short dirt races and will be driven by Curt Brenneke of Ozark Missouri. Curt will also do aiming duties in our new car which is on the chassis jig now and will be completed soon. It will be used on the longer tracks and Asphalt tracks. Sponsors are Mr. E.R. Bechtolsheim of Fair Oaks. (His full name is Erich Reichard Von Bechtolsheim) He is in the Dairy Cattle and Dairy industry. And Newt's Piggly Wiggly in Pixley. The new car will also have some co-sponsorship from Der Wienerschnitzel located in Hogeye.

Car: 1962 Chevy II
Engine: 292/377/406 All built by Williams Machine of Springfield Mo.
Chassis: Modified 55 Chevy built by Gohard Racing & Classic Restoration in Podunkville.
History: 14 Feature wins, 3 special events, 30 top 5's, many top 10's and 6DNF's
Driver: Terry "don't call me David" Beckham, Jr., Webb City, Mo.
Driver Stats: Top USRA modified driver.
Crew Chief: That would be me, Ol Lefty, otherwise known as George. Other duties are floor sweeper,
Coffee getter and fabricator.
Crew: Newt Kiley, Lud Watson, Harvey Schmidlapp and Mrs. Sarah Hockmeister, Iced Tea and Fried Chicken supplier. When he is not racing his Modified, we pick up Terry Beckham Jr.

Hi guys, got a small up-date here I was told to add from our driver, Curt. He tore through the shop yesterday on a rant and told me, in HIS words: " Sie buchstabierte meinen Namen falsch, Dumkofpt!!! Machen Sie es richtig!!!" Now I been around old Curt long enough to know he don't get like that unless he is sorta up set about something so I reckon what he was telling me is I spelled his name wrong. Soooo, I will correct that now. Its Brennecke, with a "C" which I left out. Not Brenneke. I sure wish I knew what some of those 21 letter words he uses when he is mad means. Any other time he sounds just like us old Ozark boys.

Hondo thats a good looking Indian you got there. Is Lucky's Texaco in Westville Ok. the one at Junction U.S . 62 & 59? If so, I have been there many times going to and from the speedway in West Siloam Springs. (I think its a Conoco today) I take it you have been through the Podunkville area before? Good luck this coming season and maybe you and Curt can trade a little paint.

Hey Lefty,
Thanks for the compliment on the "old Goat."
Looking forward to the season. Hopefully, I can catch up with Curt so I can do a little rubbin' on his quarterpanels.
Yep, ol' Lucky's is the one you speak of. My crew guy "Okie" worked there as a kid growing up and was able to get Lucky to swing some tire money our way.
Good luck to you and your team this year as well !! :)))

Hondo, ask 'ol "Okie" if he knew Vernon "The Vermon" Reese. Back in the day our driver banged fenders with him often around the area. That was our Joplin Shoe, Terry Beckham. Sadly, we lost him in 2013.

Okie said he helped a friend named Kenny Lindley in the early '90s.
Helped work on an old ARCA car. He thinks Vernon may have driven it at Daytona.

Hondo he's right. I know of two races Vern tried in ARCA but I didn't know the car owner. I think he made about 50-60 laps in one race in '89 and may have finished the other in '90. I don't think he ever played around with the big dogs after that. He had some success on the short tracks here after that though. Small world we live in huh?

Well, you are ahead of me Brian. I STILL don't have the Chevelle finished and figure it will be two or three races into the season before its done. The Nova will have to do double duty until that time. Nice job and good luck to you and Amy in the series!!!!
