This is the place to enter the 2015 Southern Fryed Drag Tour. Please place at least 2 but not more than 4 pictures of your drag car here along with the following info;

1. car
2. driver and crew
3. owner/team
4. sponsor info
5. history and etc.

Please post at least one 3/4 front view and one side view of your car shot with a plain white background.

Like last year, you will have to furnish your quarter mile ET and MPH that you obtain from the following site. This is necessary so that I don't over nor underestimate the potential of your entry.

Calculate your ET and MPH here.

Just input your car's weight and flywheel HP, then hit the calculate button. Your entry will be considered incomplete without this information.

Just build, or substantially rebuild, an entry for the 2015 Southern Fryed Drag tour. The 2015 SNRA Southern Fryed Drag tour is open to any newly built or rebuilt, purpose built drag racing car or truck. We are hoping for new, purpose built cars this year. Post your "work in progress" in the Drag forum of the Scale Racing Lobby Only completed entries go in replys here.

NO bracket racers nor motorcycles will be accepted this year.

Our fifth season will start on Feb. 7, 2015. Feel free to ask any questions.

Has a checkered past.

Stand on it....brakes only slow yoou down.

Another entry from the Podunkville area guys! I have just been told Ms. Agnes Cudahy, 74 years young, will enter her 1964 Ford Thunderbolt that she purchased NEW in '64. Agnes has many drag meet wins in the past with this car AND she is the current county seed spitting champion. She can accurately spit seeds into two forrows at the same time!! Ms. Cudahy is a Widow, Looks kinda like Phillis Diller, Shifts her 4 Spd. like Ronnie Sox and is always complaining she is not going fast enough.

As far as a sponsor, you could say the boys down at the feed store are the sponsor. They chipped in and bought her a new set of slicks. Her crew is Grady Simpkins and her son Horace.

Car: 1964 Ford Thunderbolt
Engine: 427 Ford with 2 4bbl.
WT: 2880
HP: 675
ET: 9.45
MPH: 143.05

OK, here's the second entry from Historic Racing Associates, the first being The Dynamic Performance Special. This entry is relatively unknown, documented only in a few grainy black and white snapshots from some local Midwestern drag meets. The primitive 3-point chassis and Cadillac mill places it around 1958. Little is known about this car except that the chassis eventually was used by Carl Casper to build his Undertaker show car. We were fortunate enough to locate the original body panels, motor and interior pieces as part of a barn find a couple of years back and have tried to recreate this early rail dragster as closely as possible to how it was seen in its heyday. It will be run by HRA staff members in tribute to the original owner and crew who remain a mystery.

Car: Undertaker prototype rail job
Driver: Paul D. "Speed Merchant" Smith
Crew: Robert C."The Professor" Post
Engine: Carbureted Cadillac 354 cu. in.
ET 9.46 @ 142.84 mph
1650 lbs. - 385 hp

One more entry from the hills of the Ozarks. A 1951 Anglia with Hudson Six power driven by Roy Takahashi. Roy says don't let the name fool you, he's Irish. Roy told me that he and the crew just finished their new custom trailer. Its built from twice used drill stem and what was left of the barn that blew down last spring. Its Roys first trailer, he usually just drove the car to the track. I asked Roy who the Sponsor was and he just asked: Sponsor, Whats a Sponsor? Wish him luck, he's gonna need it.

Car: 1951 Anglia
Engine: 53 Hudson Six, 308 Cubic inches, 3X2 carb on gas* (*Thats Leonard Ledbetters Gas.)
ET: 12.45
MPH: 108.50
HP: 225
WT: 2200#? Roy said he never has weighed it so this is a guess.
Crew: Dillwell Sloat, John Oglethorpe

LeftTurns! Blighty on the Hudson, Jeff Beck's favorite digs and mine as well.

Bayouman: now I understand your penchant for good eating, with a crew like you trundle around. Let's see pictures of the team chow wagon next, OK?

Slinking back to the shop to continue with my measly ONE lo-budget digger....

Dang Leftturns! I am lovin your Anglia, and Hudson Power to boot! Too Cool, and the trailer is too.

Alright Duffy - Here is a picture of the Chow Wagon. Bayouman puts one of those rails in there, and then there is plenty of room upfront and on the sides for the cookin stuff - Big ol' Smoker and grill will go in the back of the 41 Chevy.....

Oh Lordy, willya looka that. We'e just a squibbly five-man / one-woman bunch stacked into Arnie's Mercury (LaFlamme rides along on his own Harley). We wish we had a trailer with a lid. Maybe next year, if we net a decent purse or two on this Tour.
