Very nice build. I found an old AMT Mustang II kit and was thinking to use the body on a Mod chassis. Love the silver color, don't see many silver racers. B) B)

Very cool indeed! The Mustang II body is a perfect compliment to the engine and frame. I'd luv a bit of Mustang front on it to add to the effect, but it looks good as is also. Great "customizing!"

That body fits perfectly.

Is it considered bad form to say this car is actually (ummmm... please forgive me) pretty? I just love the way this thing sits. Can somebody point me to more info on these chassis and the regulations that drives them?

EDIT: I just went to the DPMCC instructions pages and found the AMT Modified Asphalt and Dirt Racing section (see: DPMCC Modified Asphalt and Dirt Racing ). Seems like AMT has done at least 4 different approaches to these type of race cars. I didn't realize that "34 Slammer was an actual kit and chassis type. Is that an aftermarket Mustang II body?
Keep on buildin'

You checked the DRASTIC PLASTICS instructions site, but I'm just going by memory. Seems to me 2 companies AMT(?) and Model Products Corp. each had "modified" kits. The chassis was pretty standard and may be a little different in each brand. Only the bodies were different in the kits. Probably either company chassis would be fine. As to the body, I did the Mustang II (I liked the design, but lack of power and different look to it doomed it for gearheads) as a V-6 road racer. I think beyond the AMT kit, there have been a few 'Stang II street kits. Other than that for 'Stang II bodies you'd have to find a "glue bomb" at a model show/swap meet or try aftermarket resin casters. Good luck!
