after Daytona 500 incedent cause by Montoya, I got the idea of building a replica of the trucks that sweeps the track on superspeedways.
It is the same as the one that caught in fire in february. Don't worry I'm not going to set it on fire. Not after all that work.

I could'nt find a 6 wheel pickup so I'll modify a Silverado that I have in my stash

Painted the truck a base colour last night light yellow, and masked and sprayed the final colour tonight.

I made a fuel cell for the jet engine and a tool box, I finished the trailer frame, made a tork flex axle and built a generator casing with its small 4 stroke engine...
The upright t bar in the rear is for the flasher.

That's a good idea, gotta try to find how to reach hin. An autographed photo would look great when I got at the next NNL East...

I have to postpone the built. After painting it 3 times and 6 coat of clear with sanding in between the paint did not comes right so I put this one in the box for after my vacation in september...

I.m just feed up pf that shitty modeling paint...

Well, I'm back on track with this project. It was stripped, refinished and repainted. Finally the paint finish is much better. I used 4:1 urethane clear for the clearcoat. It mad the difference. It's not perfect but will make a super nice shelf model. I'll try my chances at NNL East next spring in Wayne, N.J..

I'm now doing the final assembly and details. I corrected the stance cause this is a 6 wheeler rear drive pick-up, not a 4x4. The stance was way too high.

I will post more picks next week as i do the decals and finish details.

This is done finally.

The trailer, jet engine, gas tank and small engine are all scratchbuilt. The pick Up was modified into a 6 wheeler with fabricated rear fenders. Decals are home made. Roof flashers and roll bar are fabricated too
