Hello, I just want to wish a hearty welcome to all who have joined here over the past few months. fbr We are happy to have you and .z. to all who have decided to get in on the fun.

Some of you I've personally talked to already anyway, but if not, please feel free to participate here as much as you want, or even as little as you want. We aren't a rivet counting forum here, but we will if you ask us to! r:r
Don't feel at all intimidated here though. We have old guys, young guys, in between guys, women, girls and in some cases, unofficially, dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, etc. We have Canadians, New Zealanders, Australians and even some guys from Texas. afs Yes, you guys are Americans too, a BIG part of America. There are those of us who build replicas, who build "what ifs" who build both, who build all kinds of different sorts of models and we like to see em! No questions are stupid either, we don't speak that language here. None of us know even close to everything, but we all know something, so never be afraid to ask, somebody will know your answer, or know where to find it, have what you are looking for, you name it. :)))

Feel free to join in on our various community type builds, or just show us what you do just in and of itself. We have some racing series too, in which if you build, you are in a racing series and while your finishing position is by luck of the draw, there is a whole story that will come with it, foremost is the SNRA or Saturday Night Racing Association which has a series soon to start involving 9 second street drag cars starting soon, Late Model type circle trackers through the summer and Modifieds though the fall and up to the holidays. There are special challenges too, like the Veteran Memorial DAy twin 50's coming up, Thursday night Jalopy and other types such as muscle car bodied cars in several series and specials run in a similar way, even actual slot car racing has it's place. We try to give you the experience of if you were actually racing in these series as much as we possibly can and encourage you to use your own minds eye in these projects.

There is even a place, the Lounge with it's Town Hall where you can talk about anything, non modelling topics even if you have special news, or need to share some sorrow, we are there for you. Like our founder Ron says, just keep it clean, not to say that some good natured trash talk between makes and etc. isn't appreciated too, especially in the racing series build/threads, just don't say something you know would hurt someone, but none of us are perfect, we all make mistakes, and we all know that.

So, welcome to you all, God Bless and I look forward to talking, helping, or being helped by all of you at some point soon.
