This is a car I have been working on for some time. I have'nt really touched a model much in the last year, I had thought about giving it up and had just lost interest in modeling altogther. With some pushing by a very good friend of mine and a new resin caster I finally got back to work on a car and finished this up. With the time away and getting back after it, I have a very renewed spirit when it comes to my car modeling in general again so I won't be stopping anytime soon. Anyway to the details on the build. First off there are some stuff that still needs to be added, so if you see anything missing, I am very aware of it. I got it to a 90% finished pint to show it this past saturday.

The body is a combination of a JNS resins toyota and a revell 2007 monte carlo body. The resin body just could not handle all of the cutting with some warping after going through three of them, I decided to combine the two. The nose and tail section were removed from the resin body and grafted to the monte carlo body, I also used the kit hood. The engine is a from a ford taurus kit with toyota valve covers from JNS The carb is also from time machine as well. I used the headers from an older ford taurus kit. The water pump on the kit block was removed and I used one from an AMT kit. The pulleys are from model car garage. The chassis is a 2007 monte carlo chassis that had the front bracing added and a scratchbuilt rollcage. The oil, fuel, water and brake systems are fully plumbed. The seat is handmade and may become a another time machine piece. I used embossing metal purchased at hobby lobby for all the crush panels. The paint is the automotive basecoat white with model master laquer white lightining over it then cleared the brown UPS stripes were added then cleared over and polished. I will take more pics and add them later, my wife filled up the memory card before making it to the show and I got four pics of the car before running out of room.

Awesome extreme build , Chris. Only a handful of modelers can do what you do. Please don't give up the hobby. And don't let the jealous people try to bring you down with so called contructive criticism.

Well Chris, I mean the car is gorgeous, very few have enough knowledge let alone ability to do work like this, like has been said, including me! :o mm1 Just kidding of course with the emoctions. :))) :))) I'm gonna pm you with an idea, but rest assured, you do so much good, for yourself and all of us that you make it possible for us to look at such fantastic work. We all learn so much. jsm
