.?.

PS: That's not added weathering..........that's natural dust & rust !!! ..//..
PPSS: And still some vintage stuff for the parts box ! Now that's recycling !!!!

I'm gonna attempt to convert a '41 Plymouth over to a '40 so I can play too. First time I've ever attempted something like this.
"Courage is being scared to death, but saddling up anyway." John Wayne

"You've got to stand for something or you'll fall for anything." Aaron Tippin

Buy AMERICAN, the job you save could be your own!

That Ricer that you just bought - sold- assembled...just cost my wife her job at GM.........Thanks.

Man, that Ricer of yours is fast, you were really movin' when I passed you in my Dodge!

Doesn't look like it will be too difficult. In reality, the only difference was the grill opening and the front fenders. Add a little plastic here, take a little plastic there. You know the routine. r:r

YEAH MO.........

The "later versions" (like they built out of the "40 body" cars) were basically a "remove the fenders", GUT the car, type of build..........

I have one that's "similar" except for the "pavement" tires and rims........ As a matter of fact, I started to use this one for the "winning number" but then changed my mind................

Posted Image

........................................................................................................................

The type (like this one), when the "aftermarket safety hub" type rims, racing tires, multi-carb engines were used, THEN BECAME THE "HOT-ROD JALOPY" at those tracks using that "designation" for the class, at many others, they were starting to call them either "Modifieds", "Hardtops", or "Sportsmans"........which a few years later (in our area) had then "evolved" into the "Sportsman Modifieds"...........

GOOD LUCK, CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOUR PROJECT !!!!!!!!! rlr rlr

For AS MUCH AS I LOVE RACING.........it's really QUITE A SHAME that so many of these old cars "gave up their life" on the racetracks........... Oh course, what is a MUCH BIGGER SHAME, is HOW MANY MORE OF THEM ended up "going thru a crusher"......... :o :o :o :o
