My first build of tthe year- DONE 3/8/10; My dads racecar-Pg 2 finished pics

For my first build of the new year is the third in the series of cars my dad drove back in the 50s/60s

This car a 37 Chevy 6 cyl. which ran in the Non-Ford division at the Freeport Stadium on Long Island.The one rule they had was that it had to be a 6cyl. and not a Ford.

Thanks guys,Mike if I remember right back then the Chevy engines werent painted my dad painted it blue to match the car colors.Also a big thank you to DJ for making this project possible.

Got some more done to it now waiting for some better weather to shoot some paint on it.
Wired the engine,ran brake lines and a first for me opened and hinged the trunk lid.

Thanks guys this is turning out to be a fun build.What I used for the filler neck on the tank was evergreen tube and an generator cut in half and hollowed out for the cap,and evergreen for the straps

Was just "looking back thru some of the posts", and when I started looking at this again........was wondering.......... What have you got the trunk hinges "hooked to" inside the body, that allows them to pivot ?????????? .?. .?. .?.
