Posted ImageTed raced from the early 50's to the early 70's. He died of cancer a couple years back. He wrecked this car in 1963 at Fairmont Speedway...Neal

Thanks for all the comments!! Ted was a great guy...a wild man on the track. He was only about 5 ft. 6 or so, but he'd confront any other driver that he had a "beef" with! Back when women weren't allowed in the pits, his wife went anyways telling the officials she was going in no matter what they said or did. He took my next older brother and I for a ride around Hillside Raceway in about 1965-and scared us both about to death!! My uncle worked on his car, so we got the ride of our lives :P 4rr Neal

Thanks again for all the comments!! That intake was made from a bendable straw. Several old dirt cars we watched race had them...Some weren't as obvious, some more. Neal
