This was purchased as a glue bomb and rebuilt as a car that Bob Tattersall raced down under in Australia and New Zealand in the sixties, the real car is still in Australia and gets out at various vintage speedway events.

This is the Monogram kit that was also sold as a slot car. I have been trying to find another, but no luck so far. This one will now probably be stripped down and used for a mould for some resin copies. I have mastered an original style Kurtis nose cone for it and hopefully will master an Offy and a V860 some time that can go under an opening hood. New period dirt tyres are also on the agenda. I know somebody in the USA was repopping them a while ago, but I want to do the resin copy to enable an opening hood and different nose cones, and get a proper seat in the cockpit.

I echo this. I had the kit when I was like 11 years old and its long gone. I have been looking for it forever!!!!!!!!!! Definately put up a big announcement when the pieces are ready. I'll be one of the first in line. Beautiful job too, incidentally. :)))

Thanks everybody, I am not sure the resin is going to be for sale, I have a fair few on the list I need to build for myself and a few of the members in the local Vintage Midget club. But, you never know, it is a project that will take a while yet to get everything together, so as they say ..watch this space!

By the way, I know there was a caster in the USA doing repops of this kit, possibly available through some of the specialised slot car suppliers.
