37 Ford C-dan...Finished 3-30

Came home from Cookeville with a bunch of projects and this is the first one coming out of the workshop. Started with one of the asphalt modified kits and one of Fred's 37 sedan bodies. Shortened the chassis in the middle, front and back, cut the front off the floor pan and added to it in the back, made a new firewall out of .030 sheet styrene, cut out the front part of the driveshaft tunnel and enlarged it with .020 styrene sheet to clear the Ford transmission, bent up a lot of .080 plastic rod and got a 429 out of one of the Polar Lights Nascar Fords. Made the hood in the pictures out of the kit hood and a sprint car hood but wasn't happy with the way it turned out so I'm fabbing another hood.

First night...

I'm going to be doing some things on this build I haven't done before, like making headers out of solder, so this probably won't get finished very quickly.

Finally got a little more done on the '37. Been working nights and trying to get the yard cleaned up but still managed a little progress. First time I've ever built a set of headers and was happy with how they turned out.

Put my initial in the nerf bar like the midget and sprint builders used to do in the 40's and 50's.
