I started this project about ten years ago. Karl set me up with the tires and wheels. Then it got put on the shelf till I found someone to make the decals. Well one guy made them, but forgot the red shading on the 4s. So, back on the shelf it went. Then I found a friend in NC who made me the correct # 4 but again I lost interest. Then I found more photos of the car, and in color this time. So now I'm going to finish this project.
Gentlemen meet Tommie Elliott, my childhood racing hero.

jsm Please finish her!!! That looks great!!! '37 Ford Sedan? The NY guys when they came to Fairhaven, then Devil's Bowl used to use those sedans. But again, Vters didn't use them much. We were coupe freaks...not sedans...Neal

Well Doc this sure does bring back a lot of memories, not only the real Tommy Elliott and his car, but your ongoing model project - projects. As usual your building skills are excellent, something that comes from the experience of having been doing this for many years, but in your case really exceptional being that you are only a kid. I guess that's something that most of us share, even if it's only in our minds  I have to say that over the years your choice of building projects has kept me constantly surprised - in a very good way, especially your color pallet! It's also nice to see you break away from your love of the mongrel Mopar - even if it is only occasionally. r:r Looking forward to seeing you in the driveway on your Harley some day again soon. :))) :))) :))) Keep the faith brother.

Hey Doc, don't know what my father-Mr. Stark- was writing about, but I guess it's all good  Karl wnw

Thanks Karl. I know what you mean. Everytime someone calls me Charles, I turn and look for my father. Hope to finish this Elliott car and move on to finish the Earl Collins car. He raced at Vineland also, but in the Hobby class. Had a 38 Ford coupe with flathead. I have most of it done, except for chassis and engine. Should give me something to do while healing.
