The ol' '36 Ford looks great!! rrr I thought it was a real car in that outside shot...Very authentic!! One question: I just bought some evergreen from Fred. I like it alot, but how do you get the bends to stay? Heat it? Thanks, Neal |

Neal...Thanks for the compliments...all you have to do with the Evergreen is bend it to the shape you like it then while holding it in shape just heat it a little. I use a candle so I can use both hands on the plastic but I've heard of some guys that use a lighter. Just don't hold it too close or you'll have to start over. pce Big Mike |

Hey Mike, That little dab of dirt makes a world of difference. One Excellent build! grampa , mike has the right idea with the candle. I have inserted single strand wire inside it to make it hold shape. A tea light candle makes a world of difference. |

I started with the AMT 36 Ford kit (don't know what number) and there was no resin used at all. I made the bars, bumpers and nerf bars out of .080 Platruct or Evergreen rod, whichever one I had. I made the seat out of Plastruct sheet and brass rod, made my own decals and got the three whitewall tires out of the AMT 57 Chrysler 300 kit and everything else came right out of the kit box including the wide 5 wheels. You can usually find this kit on eBay.Big Mike |
