Yeah Ron, I figure this is close to the start of the season, and this is my first ever dirt car build, it would be OK for it to be rather clean!

OK, here is what I got done yesterday. Finished the headers (need to paint the inside of them and touch up a couple of spots), added a distributor and ran the wires, still need to add a coil, installed the radiator, and added coils to the front. Radiator shifted a little while it was drying, and had to reglue the firewall to the cage. Now for some reason the hood doesn't sit square, but not so sure that is just a trait of this kit! Thanks for looking!

No Carl, I did not make that distributor. Got it from a guy over at B&D Model Builders forum by the name of Kris Morgan. I got one from a model of the month contest, and bought a couple of more. The come prewired for an 8 cyl, plus coil wire, cap and base are seperate. He has several different colors of wire and caps, you pick'em. Here is a link to one of his posts over at B&D.:

Ok, the chassis is all but done. Paint is close, depends on what I decide about the roof stripe. Motor is done, well I need to add the battery and make a coil, did add a foam pre filter. Not the best job, but will do for now. Later yall.

OK, here is an update on this one. All but done with it! Decided to leave the stripe as is. Outlined it with black, kinda fudged the top some, so hopefully it is not quite as obvious the stripe is uneven. Not perfect, but then I figure it kinda goes with the look of the car. Changed the prefilter to blue (and think it came out better this time), added some screening, and started the decals. The logo on the hood is going to go, I just don't like it. Was trying to cover a bad spot on the hood. Need to add numbers, and the side nerf bars, and she is done. And I still can't get the body to sit straight, may need to do some more to the firewall. Thanks for looking.

Thanks yall! Yeah Mike, I went with Goodyears. After using most of a sheet of Hoosiers, recleaning and recleaning the tires, trying dull coat, trying gloss coat, and talking with a couple of people about them, I came to the conclusion that the sheet of Hoosier markings I got has gone bad. Got eight scripts left, so I'll hang on to the sheet in the event I find a way to make them good again. Had these Goodyears on hand, so just used those, and they went on just like they are supposed to! And most likely she's gonna be a number 2, but still haven't found the pile of decals I had set aside for this one. Later.
