I remember seeing an article once upon a time about kit bashing a Monogram Midget kit into a early USAC Sprinter. Does anyone have a copy they can copy for me??

Thanks!

Hi Jim,

you are going to get me through this after all! I appreciate all the help. You have gone out of your way, and it is all sinking in on this end! TU>

I believe I have everything to build one from the midget kit, too. Did you go it alone, or have that article?

Thanks!

all alone ! but i'v been around these types of cars most of my life (open wheel modifieds, sprint cars ) even raced both types for years .i was a crew chief for a USAC sprint car and silver crown car team from 95 till 2000 even helped my friend Jon rebuild his 60's sprinter ,as for the blue #9 sprint i build this in 83 or 84 from an old unbuilt orgianal kit, didnt add the decals till 94 i'v never knew of the article in SA until someone on another board said something bout it , never seen it also , I'll have to look for it
heres a few pic's of some sprints i'v drove in the past

Dave...
Did you hit the hobby store in Daytona Beach? Daytona Souveniers and Hobbys?

Have been in that store several times, but was chasing NASCAR diecast at the time, but would check out the model inventory they had....wish I was close to it again....they had the best selection of models of the various hobby stores I've been in over the last few years..
